She smiled softly, looking around the room at all the happy people. If only Nottingham could always be like this - happy, peaceful with no arguments or bloodshed. Outside it was still the same, but in here it was almost like the world was a different place.
She nodded; "That's sounds great. " She answered, as they took to the dance floor once more, this time to a faster, quick-step dance, and the two still looked good together. Many people in the castle thought they should be a couple, but Marian's heart lay elsewhere.

He moved quickly to the beat, being extra careful not to treat on her. He smiled and watched people who were looking over ocassionally.
Guy saw the same man, standing nearby, staring at Marians clevage. He resisted the temptation of wiping the grin off his face. As he span, he looked at Marian. "You have an admirer Marian and i think he wants more than a friendly hand shake."

She laughed as they danced, and was actually enjoying herself, for the first time in a while. She usually hated these balls, but with Guy shoiwng his nicer side, and everyone around in a good mood, it couldn't help but lift her spirits, at least a little.
She looked round at the man, continuing to dance, and he indeed was staring at her quite intensly. "Well, he won't even be getting that." She informed him certainly, "Anyway, with you dancing here he's hardly going to come over, is he."

He nodded aproovenly. "but if i am called by the sheriff then he might come over." this is where his angry face appeared. "do you want me to go and talk to him?"

She shook her head; "Don't worry about it. I'm sure he won't do anything, and if he does then we'll deal with it then. Lets not cause any problems tonight..." She smiled, as the song continued. If Guy was called away, then there were so many people there the man was unlikely to come over. Besides, even if Guy didn't think so, Marian could fend for herself.

He continued to dance and eventually started to clap along with everyone else as songs finished. He didnt usually smile but today seemed very different with no sheriff or Robin. He even allowed another man to dance with Marian while he went over to talk to some of the gentlemen who looked bored.

She smiled as a young man requested a dance with the Birthday girl, and was quite surprised when Guy allowed it. They danced to a slower dance than before, and she quite enjoyed talking to him. It turned out he was a the son of a local Lord, and - he confided in her - he didn't like the Sheriff. She smiled and thanked him for the dance, as he disappeared, and then returned to Guy.
"I've had a really nice evening, Guy." She said, "But I'm exausted. Is it all right if I retire to my room?" She asked. It had been a long day, and although she had enjoyed the evening, she now just wanted to go to bed.

He turned and watched her dance with the other man and was surprised that she had come over. "of course Marian." he smiled and looked over at the man who was continuelly staring at your clevage.

She smiled, "Thank-you. And thank-you for tonight." Stepping on tiptoes, she placed a small kiss on his cheek - to say thank-you. It was only as friends, and she hoped he knew that, and didn't take it as anything else.
"It's been a good birthday." With that she left the main hall, up the stairs towards her bedroom.

He felt her kiss and placed his hand on it. He felt confidence run through his body as he watched her walk up the stairs to her room. HE was asked to dance by a lady and accepted it..
After it had finished, he carefully made his way up the stairs quickly and into his room where he got undressed.
(wot now lol?)
