The road was quiet for the time of night that it was. Nearly morning Asha presumed seeing as the sun was just peaking over the horizon. Not or little contact with people until she hit maybe a lord or lady passing, heading into Nottingham, the unexpected travelers were always the best catch.
Darting off into the side of the road, covering her black covered figure in the shadows, her eyes peered out on the road waiting for the sight of another person.
She started to play with her black hair before swatting away a fly. The silence was starting to drive her mad, though Asha usually had more patience then this. Maybe with was the lack of sleep getting to her now, or not having all that much to eat yesterday. But whatever it was ,she just hoped the feeling would go away.
Asha waited, resting her hand on knee, propping her head on her gloved hand. Maybe coming this early in the morning was a bad idea. With a sigh, she was about to stand up when a figure(s) came into her view. Shooting back down, she waited for her unexpected guest.

It was really early in the morning, and in all truthfulness, Carter was starting to doubt taking an early morning walk. He was never one to need that much sleep. A few hours a night sufficed. And he had already slept for about 5 hours.
He didn't have a home. At least not yet. He still stuck to the thought that it would be too risky to openly flounce around Nottingham, when he had betrayed the Sheriff around a year ago. If anyone recognized him, it would be straight to the gallows. And Carter figured he still had a few more years of life in him yet.
The road was deadly silent. No-one would really be up at this time of day. The eerie silence got on Carters nerves, and he started to softly hum to himself. His loose fitting shirt swayed momentarily as a gust of wind rushed past him. The air was chilling, and Carter shivered. His senses were telling him that something was wrong. They were telling him that things were not as they seemed. He narrowed his eyes as he cautiously carried on walking, taking a quick glance down to ensure his trusty sword was still dangling by his hip.
It was.

Asha`s eyes rested on the stranger, fixing her mask ever slightly, so that none of her dark toned skin would be shown. Whoever this person was, this man was in for a surprise. Grabbing one of twin blades from her back, she sat there until the stranger was past where she sat. With patience the man did, and slowly she would sneak upon him and take whatever money this men held, save some for herself and give what ever left to the poor.
Crouching lower she jumped up and dated behind the man, placing one hand on his shoulder and the blade over his neck. Asha was quick and quiet as she did so, not wanting to make a total elephant of herself and warn her pray with her presence.
”I would rather like it if you gave me your money or any precious items of the sort and pass them on to me. It would feed not only myself but the poor too. I would really like it if you cooperated.” Asha said, making her voice sound manlier, because if the man knew he was being robed by a woman all hell woulf break loose. And that would not be good.

Carter smirked to himself as he heard quietly placed footsteps from behind him. Someone was sneaking up on him. But it was obvious that this person was a professional. His steps could hardly be heard at all, and he moved towards Carter with fantastic precision. Before long, Carter felt to sudden chill of a blade against his neck, and the warm touch of slender fingers on his sholder. He raised an eyebrow as the stranger spoke. It was also obvious that this person was a woman, trying to hide her gender with a manlier voice. Carter tutted and shook his head, but not hard enough so that the blade would cut into him.
"I'm flattered that you would even contemplate that I have any money, or possessions." he said in a low voice. "But I have none. I'm sorry for any trouble that I have caused." he said sarcastically. He was in an extremely interesting situation. He was trying to be robbed, by a woman. But this was not any woman. She seemed to know every trick in the book. But then again, Carter was not any man. And he also knew every trick in the book. He grinned, as he wondered how the situation would pan itself out.

Asha slightly cursed to herself for her choose of victim, it was a man but a witty man none the less. He seemed to be trying to irritate her but she would not fall for just tricks, even if her temper was flaring now. Well it was more a spark, but it would take a bit more to ignite the hot headed temper inside. The man only shook his head at her, in annoyance; she pulled the blade away just slightly.
”I’m sure you are sir.” Asha replied keeping her more masculine tone.” But why would a believe you ,any person who was being robbed could say they had nothing but what thief would believe you. Especially with a title to keep.” Asha spoke again, her grip tightening on the mans shoulder. He was toying with her, obviously had some skill with a sword seeing as he was carrying one with him, and was not afraid of angering his attacker. Whoever this man was, the man seemed very interesting. ”the Raven is the name, stealing is my game. From the wicked and the wealthy.”

Carter shrugged his shoulders. "True enough, but do I look wealthy to you?" he asked. "And you can drop the voice if you like," he added shortly, "I can tell you're a woman." He smiled, and then turned around to face her. He was well aware that there was still a weapon in the equation, but he wasn't in the mood to care. If she tried anything, there would be trouble. He looked down at the feminine figure. She was a few good inches shorter than him, which gave the game away even further. He smiled, dropping his sarcastic tone. "But I respect you're courage m'lady. If only more women were like you." He scratched the back of his head as he finished speaking.
"The raven?" he stated, raising his eyebrows. "Catchy. Well it's nice to know that at least someone else is out there stealing from the rich." He shifted his possition slightly. After a few moments pause, he held out his hand. "Pleased to meet you...the raven."

”I never said that you yourself was a wealthy man, I just assumed you had something there that I might be able to take . ” Asha replied with a shrug ,but made some what of a displeasing face as he called her a woman.”Well aren’t you one to pick on things.”. She finally said now with her normal voice, with a Indian English accent. The man turned around to face, her even though they were quiet close to one another, she decided to drop the blade seeing as he could use his own or use Ashas against her.”Thank you…sir. If only there were.”She finished saying, before taking a step back.
”Yes ,I’ve gotten the nick name from some of the towns people in Nottingham. ”She informed, him seeing as he didn’t really seem like one of the Sheriffs men. ”Stealing from the wealthy is easy, they have no guts and lousy guards.” Asha replied with a smile, even if he could not see it. ”Nice to meet you…?I don’t have a name for your face.`”Asha said.

Carter laughed at her comment. "It's true, they should really try getting better guards." he said shaking his head. He crossed his arms as she withdrew her sword. "Well I don't have a name for your face either" he said, his blue eyes twinkling. "But mines Carter. Now since I've told you that, you better take the mask off." he said grinning. He wanted to see the womans face.
Her accent ingriged him. He couldn't quite place it. It wasn't like an accent from the Holyland, but it was quite similar. He had to admit he did find somethings she said difficult to understand. But he was coping. He had more experience abroad than most England born men had.

”The guards are weak and they seem to think there better in numbers to, but really its just a waste of men. ”Asha agreed with the strange man with a slight smile.”There’s a reason why a wear a mask .” She said before giving in, a bad move but she was starting to trust him slightly. Pulling back her hood and peeling off of mask, showing her face off completely.”Nice to meet you Carter, the name is Asha.” Asha replied with a smile this time with her dark skinned face showing.
The way she spoke now and the way she spoke before was different, English people spoke a little more less respectful then her Indian counter parts. Her father would be a little ashamed by his little girl Asha steal, but she was after all using the skills her father taught her, so it just made the whole situation alit bit better.

A rush of suprise filled Carter as the woman completely willingly peeled off her mask. He was expecting more of a fight, but perhaps she was starting to trust him. It was a bad move on her part, but luckily for her Carter was not on the Sheriff's side. She was a beautiful woman, but Carter didn't really expect any different. "Well, I am glad you took of that mask," he said with a dashing smile.
Her dark skin intrigued him. She looked like someone from the Holyland, but there was something slightly different about her. On the other hand, with Carter, being blonde and pale, there was no doubt he was British. He figured it would be slightly rude to ask where she came from, but he did it anyway. "If you don't mind me asking, where are you from Asha?" he asked, tipping his head to one side, and resting his hand on his hip.

Asha could have fought him he probably would have own, so there was really no point in doing it at all. And Carter didn’t seem that bad of a person. He didn’t seem to be with the Sheriff, or so she hoped, so it wasn’t too bad of a play. ”Well it was starting to get hot in there.”Asha replied with a smile, repaying his friendliness towards her.
Compared to the pale man in front of her, Carter must of thought she was from the Holyland ,but that would have been wrong. With a small sigh, Asha knew the question would come sooner or later.”I’m not from the Holyland as you so call it, I’m from India. I was brought here as a slave.” She said ,bringing her hands by her side.
