I love you(Allan)

Now that she got what she wanted for the time being, Rosetta rode to her special Altar in the forest. She sighed. Did Allan even know about her feelings for him? Perhaps he would never know. She halted Daredevil as they came to the clearing. She dismounted and walked up to her Altar. She took out her Anthame a Witches knife and placed it on the bark.

[ooc - what's the timescale here? Cos it kind of looks like it's set just after Rosetta's left the outlaws on the wedding day, but Allan would kind of be tied up for the time being...as it were.......]

Allan had been walking aimlessly, enjoying the shade of the forest after the heat of the afternoon sun, when he saw the hoofprints. They were fresh; very fresh he noted, and it looked like a well-shod mount as well. Decent chance of them having something worth nicking, he decided. Maybe he could even skim a little off the top...you know, like a tip. A finder's fee, if you will. He began jogging in the direction of the tracks, but he wasn't running long.

A horse stood a few feet in front of him, untethered and without a rider. No doubt the owner hadn't gone far, but it was a beautiful chance to snatch such a fine animal.

He crept up silently and slowly to it, holding his hands out in front to let it catch his scent. He didn't want the beast spooking and calling attention to him. Finally crossing the last few feet, he rubbed its nose in greeting and prepared to mount up.

Daredevil reared up! Rosetta's attention turned to her horse. She got up and ran to her steed. She noticed someone she had seen before. "Allan? What are you doing?" she asked. She calmed the horse down. "Shhh Daredevil!" she said.

[Allan A'Dale]

Allan cursed as the horse reared onto its back legs. That had put the kibosh on his careful approach. He hadn't expected to see a woman riding something that big though - it was almost a battle charger; strong enough to carry a knight plus a full suit of armour. When she called his name he realised who it was- the noblewoman who'd caused all the fuss in Locksley. The one had got Kate and Much on his case, with all their bloody teasing. Rosetta.

"Oh, er, hello;" he answered lamely, unsure of what else to say. She had just caught him rustling her horse - or, trying to, anyway.

"Do you want a ride?" she asked. "He's fast and strong. I have paired him up with a female of his breed." she smiled. "Allan...You do know how strong my feelings are for you right?" she spoke. She looked at him in the eyes. "I love you Allan A'Dale." she sighed.

Well, at least she didn't suspect him of thievery. But here she was again, going off on the love angle again, without so much as a preamble.

"You say that, Rosetta, but you've only met me twice! How can you honestly tell me you love me? Want to rip my clothes off, sure;" he winked at her, old habits dying hard, "but you don't know me."

[Lady Rosetta Court]

"Believe me I know." she smiled. She mounted up. "Come on We'll talk more on the ride." she said. Daredevil pawed the floor rareing to go. "I hope the God and the Goddess bless you one day with happiness." she sighed.

[Allan A'Dale]

Well, he couldn't argue with that. Looked like maybe some of this was finally going to start making sense. He stuck his left foot in the stirrup and swung his right leg over the back of the beast. Christ, but it was a big horse. He hoped it was well-behaved.

Rosetta clicked her tounge and the black stallion broke into a brisk but beautifully paced trot. Daredevil wasn't bothered about the weight. The birds sung in the trees. Rosetta's sword clanged against the saddle. "Anywhere you would like to go?" Rosetta asked breaking the silence.

[Allan A'Dale]

Allan squinted at her in the sunlight, suddenly uncertain.

"Well, er, I dunno, really," he answered. "Anywhere not filled with Sheriff's men would be a good choice." He paused, and decided to press the question.

"So then, you were gonna explain things, right? Explain how you're so sure you know me already."
