Roleplayer Information
What name, OOC, do you like to be known as?: Sue
Age: 36
Existing characters: Sister Magdalene
Character Information:
First Name: Morgan
Middle Name: Henry
Last Name: Fitzroy
Status: (Peasant, guard, official title etc.): Nobleman
Place of Birth: Durham
Current Age: 32
Date of Birth: 16th May
Parents: Illegitimate son of Henry II and Hawise of Durham
Siblings: Half brother to King Richard and Prince John.
Current place of residency: Clun
Support and why: ( Does your character support the King? The Sheriff? Or are they undecided? Why?) Morgan supports the idea of a Monarchy. Having fought with Richard in the Holy Land, he considers himself loyal to the King for now.
Personality: At times Morgan can seem over serious. However, this could be because he seems to have a lot on his mind. He is thoughtful and clever, sometimes too clever for his own good. Following his imprisonment by Saladin's forces (see his life story), Morgan returns to England a troubled man. The torture he withstood has affected his mind somewhat.
Life Story: Morgan is one of several illegitimate children born to King Henry II. Hawise, his mother, is the wife of Godfrey of Durham, who raised the boy as his own after receiving money and favours from the King. Morgan was a well schooled child as a result. At the age of 15, he left Durham and journeyed south to London and the Royal Court. Disliked by Queen Eleanor, he was however accepted and acknowledged by his Father and brother Richard. Life at court was different to what Morgan had known when growing up but he loved it, learning all the necessary skills needed to become a Knight. Always witty and vivacious, he became popular with the courtiers. When Richard started the Crusades, a young Morgan was one of the first Knights to volunteer and journeyed with Richard to the Holy Land.
At the Battle of Acre, Morgan was one of several Knights captured by Saladin's forces. Imprisoned for several months, he was tortured before being released and it had an effect on his mind. Most of the time, he is lucid but there are dark times when he becomes a haunted man, terrorised by the demons in his mind. Returning to England, he was granted land and a farm at Clun. Feeling the need for a simpler way of life, Morgan now journeys there, hoping he will find peace of mind in this new place.
Anything else? Despite being of royal blood, Morgan has no aspirations to be King and knows he is low down on the list of "next in line".
