More Problems.

[Robin Hood]

A high-pitched whistle could be heard in the camp - Marian calling Robin. "I reckon that's for you..." Someone after the camp said, and Robin nodded. "I'll be right back." He muttered, running off into the forest. He hadn't seen Marian in too long now - he missed her when she wasn't around, and he couldn't speak to her, hold her, kiss her. However, sometimes not seeing her was a good thing - when he did, it was usually because she had bad news. He hoped this wasn't the case now, so near to Christmas - he just wanted to see her, not have her worried or unhappy.

Marian laughed softly to herself from a tree branched raised slightly above the ground on a hill. Robin was looking for her on the ground below, having answered her whistle-call, and although she did have bad news for him, she couldn't help but smile. Seeing him had that effect on her - heart pounding, butterflies in the stomach, and a warm feeling spreading right through her; as well as the inability to stop smiling.

"I'm up here!" She called, grinning as he turned and their eyes met.

He turned to face her, and felt that familiar lightening bolt sensation within him - seeing her, he forgot how beautiful she was every time they parted. Jumping up the hill, he looked up at her and their eyes locked for just a second, until he reached his arms around her neck and pulled her lips to his. They kissed, passionately, for a few moments, until they pulled millimetres apart. "I missed you." He murmured, before pulling her to him again, and as she held onto the branch, he held on to her, wishing they could be like this forever.

She held onto the branch, but kissed him as if she never had before. She hated not being able to do this, and as he said he missed her, she felt exactly the same - like her heart was being torn out every time they parted. "I miss you too..." She just had time to murmur, before they pressed their lips together once more and she forgot how they would have to part soon, and focused on the moment.

When she felt she had to tell him why she was really there, she pulled way softly, and hopped down from the branch, the two in a moment where nothing else mattered. "They've cleared out Locksley - Gisborne's using it as a military camp." She told him, bursting the bubble - but he had to know.

"Well, I'm glad to hear it..." He answered with a smile, as he gently placed a chocolate brown corkscrew curl which had fallen during their kiss back behind her ear. "I don't know if I can do this much longer..." He murmered, his forehead placed softly against hers, "I can't bear being away from you. I can't bear to think of you in the same building as him, when all I want to do is tell you how much I love you. I will always love you..."

"What's he done that for?" He asked sharply. "We can give them spare food, but not much else at the minute. We have a mission, from the King to complete - we have to focus on that at the minute."

He paused, "I promise we'll sort it as soon as we've finished this mission. It's a coded mission, from the King - Djaq's working on it at the minute..."

[Marian]

She wrapped her arms softly around his neck. "Well. we'll just have to make up for it when we do see each other, won't we..." She smiled, "I love you too Robin, but this is for England. Remember the plan." She murmered. "We save England - then we can be together." The truth was, sometimes thinking of the plan was the only way she could get through a day.

"You can't, Robin. Allan's told them where your secret food store is - they've emptied it. They need help now...are you sure you can't go to them first?" She asked, urgently. "They are all homeless. Some have friends in other villages who they can stay with, but the majority don't."

He nodded, stroking her cheek softly. Sighing, he gazed into her eyes, and knew she was right. "I know...I know..."

"I can't, Marian." He told her sternly, "And you have to promise me you will not do anything either." He paused, "Promise me Marian. If they find out you and I are together, they will kill you..." He took her hand in his, softly, "and then there would be no reason for my life to continue either. Promise me..." He repeated, hearing voices in the forest and knowing he must soon return to his gang.

"I will sort Allan out once we have completed this mission -and the villagers."

[Marian]

"But-" She tried to interrupt him, but he would let her. How could she promise that? The poor people - but he wouldn't let her get a word in edgeways. "But Robin - " As he took her hand, she stopped speaking - she just couldn't argue any more.

"Ok...I promise..." She murmered softly, knowing that their time her was limited. She moved her hand from his, and placed in to his cheek, pulling his face to hers, so that his lips were in their rightful place; pressed to hers.

Her move surprised him, but after a fraction of a second he was kissing her back, his hand pressed to the small of her back, knowing this was a parting kiss - he had to go. Although when he was kissing her, it was hard to believe there was anything more important, there was - the mission from the King.

He pulled away, and began to walk down the hill. Goodbyes just made things harder. "Remember your promise Marian." He murmered, as he walked away.

As she watched him walk away, she felt the same tug on her heart, as she knew she wouldn't see him for a while now.

"I promise I won't do anything..." She murmered to herself, "But I cannot speak for the Night Watchman." With that, she left the hill, and mounting her horse once more, rode towards the village of Locksley, a plan forming in her mind...
