Finding A Party Place

[Will Scarlett]

Will and Djaq are walking through the forest trying to find a place to have a Christmas party with al the peasants. He looks over at Djaq who is acting rather quiet and miserable. He stopped and turned to face her. "Hey... you ok?" he said softly and took her hands in his.

[Djaq]

"Yes - it's just....i don't really know anything about Christmas..." she said sadly. She wanted to know more about Christmas, an event that brings so much joy and happiness to must be worth knowing about. She smiled at Will. "Tell me about Christmas!"

[Will Scarlett]

Will smiled and took a deep breath... "Well... basically we believe that the son of God was born on this day many years ago and so every year we celebrate his coming into the world by giving each other presents and wishing each other peace and good will... and that's basically it really... people celebrate it in different ways, some like to be with family and friends and celebrate together and some prefer to be alone and think about Jesus and God." he paused "Did you celebrate anything like this back in you homeland?" he looked at her inquisitivly.

[Djaq]

"Well, we had Eid-ul-Fitr....and Baqri-Eid.....and Laylatul-Qadr....and Shabi-Baraat....and Laylatul-Mi'raj....but nothing quite like Christmas!" she said frowning. "And besides, I never really had a chance to celebrate these occasions....i was too busy...well, working...and running away from the Crusaders..." she fake laughed.

"There was one thing I did celebrate though, its called Zimanji-Regaat. Its a special Saracens celebration." She smiled at the memories. "It was never very special...but it was still good. All the saracens gathered together and compared concuctions...sang songs....danced....played instruments....and...well had a good time really." Djaqs eyes glitered. "The atmosphere was always amazing...everybody was happy and friendly. I made quite a few friends at Zimanji-Regaat, but they have all been killed by the Crusaders now..." she looked down at the floor and shuffled her feet slightly. "Anyway...lets not dwell in the past...lets look to the future!" she put on a brave face and span around to face Will. "So how are we going to organise this Christmas Pary then?"

[Will Scarlett]

"Well... I think the others are telling all the peasants about it... we're just finding a good location for it!" he smiled and then stopped... "If you want, we can try and have a little Zimanji-Regaat party some point... cos well, I can tell it was important to you and I wanna see you really happy!" he smiled meekly at her. She had had such a terrible life... all her friends and family being killed right infront of her... being locked up and taken to a different country... it must have been horrible for her. He wanted to see her really happy and enjoying herself.

[Djaq]

Djaq smiled up at Will, grateful for his concern. "Thanks but...well...it would be stupid because I'm the only one who knows who it is...and everyone would think its strange..." she looked at the floor. She would probably be somewhat embarressed, everyone doing a massive party just for her, it would be a little selfish. People wouldn't want to waste their time going to something that they didn't understand. Besides, they wern't Saracens, so it would not be correct. But....it would be lovely....it would bring back memories of her life in the Holy Land....but no. She didn't like thinking about her past. Even the good bits of it. The good bits made her upsett and the bad bits made her angry. It was a no win situation. She sighed and looked back up at Will. "But thank-you anyway..." she said hugging him tightly.

She released him and walking purposefully through the leaves that were scattered on the ground of Sherwood Forest. "So, where do you think we should have the party?"

[Will Scarlett]

Will looked at her walk off in a slight trance before registering what she had just asked him. He cleared his throat and followed after her. "Um... somewhere away from the camp cos we don't want anyone finding it. If we could find a clearing in the trees not too far from the villages so it would be fairly easy to find..." he grinned at her and took her hand and walked forward. "Come on! Let's go hunt for a party place! Where shall we start? Shall we just wander around the woods till we find somewhere?"

[Djaq]

"Erm...this place is a little...well...leafy." she said kicking a few of the orange, brown and green leaves at her feet. "Lets try over here!" She made her way through the forest, swimming in leaves and occasionally looking round to see if Will was still there. "Come on! Keep up!" she said smiling. Will panted behind her, looking confused.

After a while, they still hadn't found a suitable place. "Oh! This is hopeless!" Djaq exclaimed. She kicked a few leaves on the floor. "These stupid leaves are everywhere! Well, i guess we are in the middle of a forest..." she said, looking inquisitive. "Well!" she said as she carried on walking through the leaves. "There must be somewhere around here!"

[Will Scarlett]

Will panted and ran after her "God you walk fast!" he caught up with her and stopped. He bent over with his hands on his knees, "Do you ever run out of energy?" he asked whilst trying to catch his breath. He looked up at her and grins. "I hope we find somewhere soon... I'm tired" he moaned playfully.

[Djaq]

Djaq took the oppertunity. She wondered over to Will innocently. "Aww? Are you tired Will?" she grinned cheekily. Then, she pushed him over and he landed into the leaves. She ran away giggling.

[Will Scarlett]

He landed in the leaves with a thud. "Oi!" he grinned "What was that for?" he laughed whilst lying on the floor before getting up and running after her "You're gunna pay for that!" he grinned before throwing himself on top of her and starting tickling her, "A little birdy told me that you are very ticklish!" he laughed and continued to tickle her whilst she swirmed and tried to get away.

[Djaq]

"Get...of...me...!" Djaq giggled. She caught Wills hands and looked at him sternly. "Do that again, and I swear I will kill you." she tilted her head to one side still looking at him seriously, and then broke out into fits of giggles pushing him away playfully. As she collapsed onto the floor, still giggling quietly she reaslised something. There were no leaves on the floor. She sat up and looked over at Will. Then she looked around the clear area. "Will! This place is perfect!" she leaped up and pulled him up too. She then skipped around. "Look, no leaves on the floor, its a completely clear area! And look! There are even logs that could be used as chairs!" her mouth opened into a wide smile.

[Will Scarlett]

Will was about to protest about this death threat that she had just given him, and then looked around and notices what Djaq was talking about. She was right, this place was perfect... no leaves, logs, place for a bonfire, and it was away from camp. "Yeah it's great! Well done! Do actually know where we are though? Are we far enough away from civilization for me to do this..." he grabbed her hand and twirled her round before kissing her passoinatly.

[Djaq]

"I guess so..." said Djaq smiling. She kissed him back.
