Lost(Kate)

[Lady Rosetta Court]

Rosetta was astride a black stallion. She wore a red and black corset with a red silk gown. She rode hard. She wasn't escaping from anything just coming to her favourite spot to do her Witchcraft. She stopped at an old pine tree and dismounted. She walked up to her Altar and placed her gold Pentagram on the rock. She smiled. "Oh Great Goddess lend me your power to complete this spell." she said. She then drew a Pentagram on the ground in black chalk. "This is for the one called Allan A'Dale. Help him see the way to go, help him know the truth to show. He is not the hunter here, nor should he yet be the deer." she finished the spell and closed the Circle.

Homesickness had woken Kate early and she left while the men where still sleeping to look out over the Hill at her former home. The sun had just risen sending a deep orange glow over the Village of Locksley but even the rays of the sun could not mask the dark ashy spot that used to be the site of the family trade. Not far from that spot was a row of basket each filled to the brim with shattered pottery from the day the new tax collector came and tore her life apart. Kate should have held her tongue and none of this would have happened if she had only kept silent she would be sleeping in her own bed right now.

She had sat there for a good couple of hours watching the Village wake up and go about there morning business. Farmers loading up there wagons for market day small children collecting water from the well for there families one being Kate’s little sister. It comforted her to see here little sister looking well and happy but the fact she couldn’t go down and hug her was hard to come to terms with.

Eventually she tore her self away from the happy sight to walk back through the dense forest towards the camp. She was a good mile in when the sound of strange chanting on the wind caught her attention. Kate stopped dead in her tracks straining her ears but she couldn’t make out the strange voices words.

“Who’s there,” she called out pulling out the only weapon she had with her for protection, a small dagger with a wooden handle ”, show yourself”

Rosetta packed her things away and mounted her horse again. She heard someone. To be cautious she drew her long sword. With her Pentagram pendant around her neck she advanced to the voice. "Who are you Outlaw?" she asked. She tried to be as plesant as possible but she didn't like to be disturbed when she was spell casting.

[Kate]

Kate whirled around her arm outstretched the dagger tightly in her grasp. She held her ground as she heard the horse approaching, only one surly it couldn’t be too much for her to handle. Kate was not one t back down her stubbornness prevented it so stupidly when it was safer to run for cover she would stand and fight. The horse came in to view carrying a beautiful woman with long dark hair Kate could definitely take her she was sure. Her arm still outstretched Kate to a step back words not wanting to be to close to the horse that could easily trample her.

"Who are you Outlaw?"

“I’m Kate, and I never said anything about being an outlaw” she said defiantly tossing her hair back out of her eyes ,”What do you want?”

Somthing shinney grabbed her attention and Kates eyes snapped to the pendant around the womans neck. It was like nothing she had ever seen.

[Lady Rosetta Court]

"I want you to leave this area of the forest. This is where I come to do my Witchcraft." she said. The horse snorted and pawed the ground. "Easy Dare Devil." she whispered in the horse's ear.

[Kate]

Kate stumbled taken aback her arm still outstretched as she stared wide eyed at the mounted Lady. A witch a real witch, this couldn’t be happening it was unreal. How was she supposed to defend her self against something like that? In the old days before she had to flee to the forest for her family’s safety and her own Kate would have simple gone running to her nearest church and this woman would be dunked.

“Witch!” Kate exclaimed tacking another step back, even if she was a witch Kate was not one to back down. ” Don’t come any where near me…What are you doing cursing folk?”

[Lady Rosetta Court]

"I do not curse. I do not do black Magick. I am a child of the Goddess." she said. She dismounted and drew her sword. "The Goddess lent me her fighting skill until the day I die. I may cast a spell against you if you're not on my side. I support Robin Hood and all the luck he gets is thanks to me. Thanks to the Goddess." she explained.

[Kate]

“It’s magic all the same,” Kate muttered taking yet another step backwards. How was she meant to protect herself against something like this? Now the woman was talking about casting spells and that she was on Robin hoods side, this was all jus a bit too crazy for Kate’s liking.

“I live with Robin and he has never said anything about a witch” Kate said brashly “So I would like you to lower your sward if you don’t mind”.

[Lady Rosetta Court]

"Of course." said Rosetta and put it away. "Why do you think of me so badly?" Rosetta asked.

[Kate]

“Well you’re a Witch,” Kate said slightly confused but not dropping her ground.

From as easily as she could remember, Kate had been told by her mother, the villagers and the church that witches where evil heretics that should be brought to justice. It had been drummed in to her head so much that she wasn’t going to take any chances.

[Lady Rosetta Court]

Rosetta sighed. She got out a bowl and a bottle of water and a candle. She poured the water into the bowl and lit the candel. "Little Angel come to me. Help me help my friend in need. Help Kate to find the answer to the question she holds in her mind. Little Angel come to me come and my friend in need. Little Angel help my friend find her answer.
Free Kate of misery that she pleads with me." she said. After she blew out the candle while thinking of Kate.

[Kate]

“Hey! Hey what are you doing” Kate yelled in alarm, “Stop that!”

Kate watched Rosetta in bewilderment her hand slowly dropping as she began to chant. What was she doing to her? Kate wasn’t willing to stick around. With our warning she turned on her heels and darted away from the strange woman not glancing back to see if she was being followed. Either this woman was crazy or she really was a witch wither way Kate didn’t want to be anywhere near her.
