Current place of residency: Sherwood Forest
Support and why: ( Does your character support the King? The Sheriff? Or are they undecided? Why?) They support the king, Belinda has a dark hatred for the Sheriff as he killed her 6 year old son because he stole some bread.
Personality: Belinda used to be a bright, cheerful, soul. All of that changed when her only child, to a husband who had died in the crusades, was cut down by the Sheriff’s men. Belinda’s world is centered on making things right, she still mourns her dead family, and wants nothing more then the king to return and punish the Sheriff.
Life Story: Belinda was 19 when she witnessed the hanging of her parents and older siblings, she screamed out for them but no one listened to the cries of a girl in a sea of peasants. Belinda felt responsible for their deaths as they had only been stealing food to make sure her and her unborn child would survive the winter. 6 and a half years later she was celebrating her sons 6th birthday and there was a knock on the door, she opened the door only to be dragged out by soldiers and to have her son taken away from her. Belinda was restrained as they cut down her son, punishment for stealing a loaf of bread, or at least that’s what the soldiers said as they rode off laughing.
Belinda couldn’t bear to stay in Nottingham anymore and she left with her only belongings, the sword her husband had used in the Holy Lands, a silver rattle that had been passed down through her family and had been her sons, a dagger that her father had made for her when she was young and a few silver pieces that she had been saving for the winter. Belinda moved into Sherwood Forest to plot against the Sheriff.
Anything else? Her son, Robert, was 6 years old when he died, he was her only child with her husband, William Legrand, who died fighting in the Holy Lands.
