Back to England?

[Djaq]

Djaq trapsed backwards and forewards in the grand house of her Uncle and dear friend, Basaam. She awaited her husband, Will, to return from the village. She was impatient, and her long Arabic robes trailed after her as she paced. Only one thing was on herm ind. Her friends that remained in England. She cleared her throught and sat down in an armchair, and smoothed out the creases in her skirt.

[Will Scarlett]

Will entered the part of Bassam's house that he and Djaq lived in, and with Shafiq in one arm, and a basket of wood in the other, he wondered over to Djaq who was sitting in her armchair. She was obviously deep in thought, and he didn't want to disturb her, but he knew her well enough to know that something was playing on her mind that was troubling her. "Saffiya...?" he asked gently.

[Djaq]

Djaq sprung up and held her arms out, jesturing him to hand Shafiq to her. He did and she cradled him in her arms and she seemed to glow with pride. She looked up at Will. He knew her well. "Oh I was just thinking of Robin and Much and John and Alan...and everyone..." she trailed off.

[Carter]

Carter burst into the door and grinned as he saw Will and Djaq. "Hello you two!" he said as he skipped over to them. He clasped an apple in his hand and sunk into the armchair Djaq had just got out of, and stretched his legs so they lay on the table ahead of him. He crunched his apple loudly.

[Will Scarlett]

"Hey.." Will said forcing a smile onto his face. He always enjoyed Carter's company, and he had no problem with him visiting them any time he wanted, but right now, Will needed to talk to Djaq about what she had just said. He missed England nearly every day, but he never said anything about it or let is show as he didn't want to upset Djaq. She wanted to be here, and wherever Djaq wanted to live, Will would also live. If she was happy here, then so was he, but since the birth of little Shafiq, Djaq sometimes seemed very distant and over the last few days she often mentioned the gang and life in england, causing Will to believe that he might not be the only one that was missing their old way of life. But even if Djaq did want to leave, could they really just pack up and go? After all, things weren't so simple anymore, they had their son and his well being to think about now.

Whilst Carter was momentary unable to speak due to his mouthful of apple, Will quickly spoke, "Um, sorry James, Djaq and I were just talking...could we catch you later do you think...?"

[Carter]

Carter raised an eyebrow and looked from Will to Djaq. Something was troubling them. He shook his head and sprung up from his chair with a mischievous grin. Probably marriage trouble. He never really understood why people had to get married, to him it just seemed to open a new door of responsibilities and problems. He laughed to himself and walked over to Will. "Fine." he said happily, whilst throwing the remains of his apple out the window. As he heard someone shriek from outside he scoffed and ran further into the house, to wards the front door.

[Will Scarlett]

Will turned to face Djaq and sighed, he needed to know what her feelings were about life here in the holy land - was she enjoying it as much as she wanted people to believe? "You were saying..."

[Djaq]

Djaq smiled as Carter departed, but the mood turned back to seriousness as Will asked her to continue. She couldn't hold it in any longer, she just needed to get her feelings out. "I miss it all." She blurted out, half screaming. "I miss the adventure, I miss helping people, I miss Robin and the Gang..." she said desperately, "I miss it all. I want to go back Will."

[Will Scarlett]

"Really...?" he said slowly as a huge grin spread across hie face. He didn't want to seem too excited at her suggestion of moving back to England as he didn't want her to think that he didn't like it here in her home country, but he too missed England and couldn't wait to return. "Well...it looks as though Shafiq will be able to see Sherwood after all!" he smiled, looking first into the eyes of his son, and then into those of his wife. For a while now her eyes had been full of sadness, but now, they were filled with all the joy and excitement that they were when he first fell in love with her.

[Djaq]

Djaq embraced Will lovingly, with Shafiq still in her arms. "So, when should we start packing?" she said happily. "And what about Carter," she said, her face turning slightly worried. Carter had been a good friend to Will and Djaq, and was even Shafiqs godfather.

[Will Scarlett]

"We can start packing right away" Will said beaming as he held his small family close. "Carter will be happy for us, and I don't suppose he'll be out here for much longer...hopefully the crusade will be over soon and the King and crusaders will return to England. But until then, we can live in the forest with Robin and the gang, and continue to help the people of England like we always used to"
