Tuck marvelled how Allan's views of a person could change and change rapidly. However, he knew that when Allan's need was great he could easily alter his thinking to go along with whatever situation he was in. Secondly, he knew that, in the castle, Roe had laid his life on the line for Allan, Carter, Djaq, and Isabella. Tuck had the feeling that Allan valued action, and not so much, words.
Another thing that Tuck noticed was that Allan's focus while others spoke was greatly enhanced. Again, maybe it was that his need was great and so many other people were depending on him ..... usually Allan was the only person he was concerned about. Also, it wasn't just what he was observing, it was clear that he was trying to analyze and figure out things at the same time as well. Despite the questions about Roe, they had about Roe, they had to trust him, so they might as well trust him all the way, and he nodded his heading, letting Allan know that he did.
"I think we're best off finding out where it is and using it. As long as we have somebody who can read on both ends of the messages it will speed up the communications process enormously. Yes.... you're probably right about that. Tomorrow will work out much better. Maybe Matilda can arrange Robin to be awake when you're there."
