Liam caught his purse and quickly refastened it to his belt, nodding at the outlaw. "He'll remember." He laughed a little, but frowned, realizing something. "And how Am I supposed to know you're one of Robin's men? Like you said, I don't know you from Adam." But even as he spoke, Bronte was removing the leather cuff from his right arm. The brown leather was plain, save for the King's crest burned into one side. "Robin might have one, though it's been a while." He didn't offer it to the man yet, indicating he wanted proof of who he was first.

Allan laughed at Bronte's words. "Yeah, it's a fair point," he replied, still grinning. "I suppose I ought to presnt my credentials."
He fished inside his shirt again and pulled out his carved wooden tag, threaded on some roughly-spun wool. Slipping the string over his head, he ran his thumb over the etched design before tossing it over. "All of Robin's men wear one of those," he informed the knight. "You can check that with anyone in town. The guards, the peasants, even the Sheriff himself."
He held out his hand for his half of the swap. That'd probably seal it, although the fact Bronte was handing it over anyway was a pretty good sign he was genuine.
"Meet me here, at sunset, in two days, and I'll bring you to Robin, if he thinks he knows you."

"Alright," Bronte said while handing over his cuff, albeit warily. "Don't think I won't check." He warned with a grin. "If I find out you've lied, well things won't be pretty." Liam tucked the tag into his cloak and began to walk off, calling back over his shoulder, "Two days!" Once out of the alley, he inspected the tag. He'd never seen the symbol before, but it was obviously done by someone with skill. He tapped it against his palm as he headed back to the castle. Maybe Isabella would know?
