"Ah," Devon sighed when Roe spoke of the castle. "I should watch myself then, eh? Else I'll be waking to the sound of drums in the morning." She vaguely understood what she'd said, but figured they were all far too drunk to care.
She shot Allan a look when he took the bottle and tried to hit his arm. Unfortunately, she missed and swung her fist into the air with a flourish. "Oops," she giggled then took the offered bottle back, sending Allan a wink.
"Ooh, dramatic sounds interesting. Anything good? I'll need something to talk to Morgan about, I suppose." She dug around her dress and pulled out the pouch she had acquired, searching for a coin. Finding one, she began flipping it messily along her fingers. Occasionally she'd flick it into the air, usually failing to catch it again.

Roe could see that the 2 of them, Allan and Devon, were playing pitch and catch with the bottle. "If there was much going on in the castle outside of the Prince monin and groaning about the results of the wedding day you wouldn't see so many guards out and about and in the Tripp, now would you."
Personally, I spent some time conning some con men out of some land they thought they had righfully stolen back in the hands it was supposed to be. Unfortunately, what Isabella saw of the process made her quite upset with me, so once again I am the the lone knight."
Roe saw his opportunity and snatched the bottle deftly from Devon, as if he been a practiced pick-pocket for years, and took a quick swig. "You're right, this is nasty stuff."

Allan idly watched Devon's attempts to manipulate the coin around as Roe spoke, watching the meager light of the evening flash off the shiny metal. He couldn't help but smile at the memory of the wedding day.
When the stolen land came up he looked up in interest, but made a face in sympathy when Roe mentioned Isabella.
"Well I was about to say 'good for you', but if you've ended up in Bella's bad books maybe comiserations are more in order. I thought she sympathised with the downtrodden masses an' that."
Devon dropped the coin again and he shot out his left hand in an attempt to catch it but missed. "Arse," he said vaguely, and picked it up. He flicked it up himself, and barely caught it, snagging it awkwardly between two fingers as Roe took possesion of the bottle.

"Ah, bad luck, mate. Women issues...tut, tut, tut. Nothing worse than being in the bad books with one of 'em." Devon shook her head sadly. "So, this bird, eh? Isabella? Why's it matter if she's not pleased with you?"
She sent Roe an appreciative look as he took the bottle from her. "What, you did this before? That's some skill, there. Though I figure I could rob you blind even if I am drunk and a skunk." She laughed when Allan fared just as well as she had with the coin, but didn't comment. She did, however take the bottle away from Roe with a smirk. "It may be nasty my friend, but whatever it is, I like it. It has character," she informed him with a firm nod. Giggling, she brought it back up to her lips and did her best to try and empty it.

When Devon asked about Bella, Allan leaned against her shoulder as he turned to speak. "Remember that bloke I told you about? The Sheriff's lieutenant? Isabella's his sister. I think Roe had a few designs on her virtue."
When she defended their ill-gotten booze, he laughed. "Yeah, right. It's the same reason she likes me." Devon tipped the bottle back and swallowed over half of what was left. In mock-outrage, Allan nudged her in the ribs.
"Oi! Where's mine!" he protested in a hurt voice
She was still drinking, so he decided to take more severe action. After a few attempts to pull himself up on his knees he finally succeeded and tickled her stomach as hard as he could.

At first, Devon just smirked from behind the bottle when Allan protested her drinking, but when he tickled her, the drink sprayed from her mouth and she was at once on the ground, fighting Allan off of her, albeit half-heartedly.
"Stop it you sod," she told him through peals of laughter. She was pinned beneath him now, but could see one advantage. She tried swatting him away with her hands, but hadn't worked well, so she brought them up to his middle and began an attack of her own.
The bottle rolled away from them and hit the wall where Devon had been sitting a moment ago, but Devon certainly wasn't concerned about the drink anymore. What she really wanted was revenge on Allan. She tried to roll him over so she would be on top, but he held her down.
"Is this any way to treat a woman?" she asked him breathily as she gasped for air.

At last she gave in, collapsing onto the floor. Off balance, he fell with her and they grappled playfully on the cobbles as Devon shrieked with laugter as he pressed his advantage, laughing uncontrollably himself.
She fought back valiantly, but more through luck than judgement he managed to avoid her flailing arms. He tried to grab for her wrist, failed and gave up.
She assaulted his own stomach and his laughter came harder, stealing his breath away. He almost lost balance, but barely managed to remain above her.
He grinned and released her, although didn't shift from his position. "Oh, I dunno," he replied, regaining at least some of his composure; "you seem to be enjoying it."

When Allan released her, she leant back on her elbows, bringing her face closer to his. She gasped for air, still smiling widely.
"What can I say?" she shrugged, looking up at Allan with a smirk. "I guess I'm having fun." She emphasized the 'n', letting the airy consonant brush against his cheek. Keeping eyes contact with him, she reached around blindly for the bottle. Her hands grasped cold glass and she took a quick drink from it then offered it to him. "Or can I interest you in a different sort of sin?"

Allan grinned slyly as Devon lifted her head to meet his, watching her eyes as she spoke teasingly, her breath warm against his skin. Without breaking her gaze, she somehow found the almost-forgotten bottle helped herself to another mouthful. He took it as she offered and took a swig before setting it down in easy reach.
He ran his thumb over her lips, smile spreading wider.
"I think it's safe to say you've got my attention," he replied, lowering his head and kissing her softly.

Devon grinned from underneath his lips and grabbed the front of his shirt, drawing him nearer. The chances of her remembering this in the morning were slim to none, so she was going to enjoy it while she still could. Due to her intoxicated state, she completely forgot about the other person in the alley. And it was probably safe to say that Allan had done the same. She mumbled something against his lips then pulled away so he could understand.
"An alley?" she asked him, her eyes just barely open.

She pulled him closer as their lips touched; said something unintelligible then drew back and repeated it.
"An alley?" he questioned, confused at first before his brain caught up with the rest of him. "Right. Yeah, somewhere a bit less..."
Whoops. He'd forgotten - Roe had come out to meet them. He poked Devon gently on the nose and did his best to jump gracefully back to his feet, although it manifested more as a clumsy stagger.
"Sorry, mate," he said to Roe, sounding nothing of the sort, "just, er - well, you're a man of the world, right? Duty calls, an' all that." Allan flashed him a grin and extended a hand to Devon, to help her up.

With his help, Devon managed to get up with a bit more grace than Allan, which wasn't too hard in the first place. She stood still for a moment and waited for the alley to stop spinning before she walked over to Roe.
"Nice meeting you, an' all. Good luck with your lady friend," she stumbled into the street, holding onto the side of the Inn for support. "You coming?" she called back to Allan. "Figure between the two of us we'll find a decent place." Her feet slid over the wet cobbles while the rain that had been protected from in the alley poured down on her. Suddenly, she had the urge to run around in the rain and took a step into the street, but lost her balance. Her hand whipped out and surprisingly caught a bench. "I'm okay!" she said triumphantly to the whole of Nottingham.

Allan followed Devon unsteadily as she called him, turning back to wave a final time at Roe before stepping out onto the open street.
Ahead of him, Devon skidded on the wet ground and barely caught herself before she landed.
When she announced to all and sundry that she was fine, he doubled over with laughter. Somehow that just made it all the more ridiculous. Placing his feet with theatrical over-caution, he reached her and put his hands either side of her waist, pulling her back up to her feet. "Come on then, let's try and get you there in one piece, eh?"

Roe had originally about following them into the alley. He had the feeling that they were getting a bit more intimate with each passing moment in the Tripp, and he assumed in a more private place that would be the case. SHortly after meeting up with the two his original assumptions were confirmed. Allan and Devon were apparently interested in sharing the bottle and much more.
In such a circumstance, three was definitely a crowd, and there was plenty more to drink back at the Tripp. Devon was apparently moving on, unsteadily to find drier and more appropriate quarters for the two of them, and since both were apparently waving adieu, unless he was invited along, he thought it was best if he stayed where he was at. He just hoped Allan didn't get himself into trouble that would require Roe to get him out of the dungeons. Still, Roe smiled to himself, saying "young love," or something close to it, and nothing he was likely to see at this stage of his life,he said as he shook his head.

Devon giggled and allowed Allan to guide her around. She put an arm around his middle and leaned her head on his shoulder. "Where to?" asked, swaying slightly as they made a crooked path down the darkened street.
