Marian blinked as she stepped into the sunlight. It had been a while since she'd spent any prolonged time in the sunlight; she'd been moving around in the cave, with Robin carrying her from the cave some evenings so that she could get some fresh air without the stress of having to speak with people. It had been a long road to recovering; the amount of blood she'd lost had been difficult to replenish, and her body had needed the time to rest in order to recover from the near-fatal stab wound. But Marian was not one to sit still for long; she was fed up of being stuck in a cave, with her husband off doing god-knows-what to help the people.
Marian hated feeling helpless.
She took in deep breaths of the warm air, and smiled; it felt so good. Pain shot through her side, and yet she ignored it; she'd learnt to live with it. It wasn't so bad - at least she was alive. At least she still had Robin. The empty camp surprised her, as did the sudden hunger that over came her.
Feeling a little dizzy, she sat on a log, closing her eyes to the sunlight and deciding to find some food - once the dizziness had worn off...

Allan stopped as he approached the cave. He felt bad; it was a long time since he'd come to visit Marian on her sickbed, and considering how much time they'd spent together, both while he'd been with the outlaw and in the castle.
But someone was hanging around outside. It didn't look like anyone that ought to know where Marian was...
Bloody Hell, it was Marian. Up and about like nothing was wrong. Well, like almost nothing was wrong. She did look a little wobbly.
"You're up, then," he called to her as he approached. He didn't want to startle her, even though she did look so much better.

Marian didn't hear Allan approach; she had spent far too long not using her senses to their full ability, and so now she could easily be sneaked up on. That would have to improve once more - she was lucky it was only an Outlaw, and not one of the Sheriff's men - Gisborne, even, who did not yet know that she had lived through her brush with his sword.
She jumped a little as he spoke, but smiled; she hadn't seen him in a long while. He had visited the cave where she rested once or twice, but that was it - most of the outlaws found it difficult to see her so weak, and Robin kept them all away if he could. Her husband - so sweet, so loving, so over-protective.
"Yeah," she said, her voice soft through lack of use, but she was audible. "It gets boring fast on your own, you know." She smiled once more. "Besides, I got hungry." She stood once more to sort out some food, and wobbled; she sat once more, realising she would have to wait a while before she could attempt the strenuous act of finding food.
"Damn heat," she muttered, trying to blame her unsteadiness on the weather instead of her own weakness. She got everything in focus once more, but did not try to stand again - she knew better. "Where is everyone?" she asked, trying to mask the fact that she was still unwell, and genuinely interested - and jealous - about their adventures.

Allan frowned a little at her unsteadiness.
"If you're hungry, I can get you something. You shouldn't really be wandering around trying to find dinner. What are you gonna do, shoot a deer?"
She was right though, the heat was pretty oppressive. He worried momentarily about the prospect of her getting sunburnt after spending so long in relative darkness, but she was so obviously enjoying being outdooors.
"The others...well we didn't have much on today after the usual food calls, so a couple of them might be coming here too."
He looked around in vain for something to give her to eat; she was clearly in need of it.
"I could always set up a snare or something...maybe try and shoot a pidgeon or a squirrel. What do you reckon? I'm not the world's best cook, but..." He left the sentence hanging. He didn't want to put her off.
