A small sigh escaped through Liddy's lips as she trawled through the massive looking forest, she had to admit she was tired the only thing that was keeping her going at the moment was that she was striving to learn something knew -and the small fact she'd been sent to collect firewood for the house-, well not learn something new just to get better at it. She wanted to learn to fight but then again she'd always wanted that and well she'd never been given the opportunity. She still didn't want to fight with her brother 'cause well she was always worrying in case she accidentally hurt him.
She carried on walking through the forest, her feet ached a little bit but she just kept on going, just walking not really looking for anyone or anything. She'd always been at home on her own, and well being in the forest, it was always likely she was going to be on her own. It wasn't that she was anti-social or anything, no, she loved talking to people. The mental stimulation that a conversation could give you was amazing the best thing she could ever ask for. It was sometimes just nice to walk around on your own. What was the worst that could happen in the forest though?
She walked up to one of the giant oaks in the forest, before letting her feet fall from under neath her, as she settled onto the floor, in between two of the giant looking roots. Taking a seat, resting her poorly looked after feet, before she should of returned to go back to Locksley village, with what ever wood she could find scattered across the woodland floor. She looked down at the floor as a small beetle crept across the dead leaves on the floor. How it would be so nice to live like a beetle, being able to go were you wanted when you wanted, doing what ever you felt like doing. She shook her head, before she realized she was actually wishing she was beetle.

At least once a week Roe took it upon himself to ride out from Nottingham. He had several excuses that he liked to use, sometimes several of them for the same trip. First, of course, was that his Arabian, Sherfore, needed the exercise. Second, he needed to become familiar with the area if he was to do any kind of reconnaissance for the authorities in Nottingham. Obviously, along with the spot at the Jerusalem Inn it was an excellent place to exchange information with the other outlaws about what was going on in Nottingham.
On this day, however, Roe was simply re-visiting areas of Sherwood that he had not seen since he was a teenager. So it was a matter of him taking a few hours to enjoy himself in the woods. After traveling for awhile, Roe began to hear the crunching of leaves and the snapping of twigs, and with each passing moment the sounds became louder, indicating that whatever it was was moving towards him, and he decided to wait and see what it was. He soon saw that it wasn't an it, it wasn't even a deer, but it was definitely a young woman. She was quite pretty he thought, but definitely looking tired and worn out, as she settled between the 2 large oak trees. "Pardon the interruption .... but .... are you lost, do you need some help," he called out.

Physical and mental exhaustion was the worst thing anyone could suffer from, and right now. Liddy knew she was completely ready just to fold up and sleep, just so she could wake up and maybe just be a little be more aware of her surroundings.
Her eyes flew open as she heard a male voice speak, the words not really registering. She jumped up onto her feet, so she was sitting, she almost never met anyone when she was out and about in the woods. She didn't really care that someone had found her, it wasn't that she objected to the company.
"urmm, no i'm not lost... i was just... resting for a few seconds" she spoke to him, she didn't really recognize him from any were so she was guessing he wasn't from Locksley. But, damn, in her opinion he looked quite hansom, well for the guys who were around here at least.
"what are you doing out here anyway?" she asked suspiciously as she looked back at him, he wasn't someone who worked for the sheriff was he? she looked away from him, as she took a few steps back, even though there was already quite a distance between the both of them.

Roe had not been back in the shire for that long, let alone the village of Locksley. So he was not sure if she was a local villager or even what class she was, although he assumed she was a local peasant. But he couldn't be sure.
However, it was quite clear that he and Sherfore, his Arabian horse, had indeed surprised, if not shocked her. In fact, it seemed that she had been worn out enough perhaps to even have nodded off, but he couldn't be quite sure. Likewise, he wasn't sure if his presence was welcome either. He expected that he would soon find out, as she had almost jumped out of her skin, standing up so quickly she did.
So .... she had been nodding off he thought to himself. "Ah that's good .... Sherwood can be quite a restful place .... but it does hold its dangers too. Most of my mempories, growing up in Locksley and over at the manor, however contain only good memories. We tend to forget the bad after awhile I suppose. These days, though, its said that different bands of outlaws frequent the Forest, so you should be forewarned."
It did not take her long to shift into an interrogation mode did it? He wondered how she would react to similar questions. No time better than the present he thought to himself. "I believe the same question could be posed to you, unless you be one of Robin's band, eh. The truth is that I like to take a ride through here about once a week. Its good for the horse and it lets me visit some of my boyhood haunts. I just find it relaxing, and there's rarely anybody around. No outlaws have ever molested me, but I di make a point not to carry money or valuables with me."

Liddy felt a little shook up at the fact she hadn’t even noticed that Roe had approached her, she wouldn’t of normally just let herself rest in the forest but she had been so tired, she just needed too. He must of came from the castle, well he didn’t look like he was from the village, he looked like he actually had clothes to wear and food to eat... unlike Liddy but she refused to complain about anything like that it was just showing she was weak, at least in her opinion it did and that; she wasn’t prepared to do she hated people to think she was a weaker individual than anyone else. Hence; why she was so obsessed with learning how to fight, so she could defend herself properly.
“I can handle it, I doubt there’s anything that can go too badly wrong out here” she said as she quickly looked around they forest again, she was actually on her own; no one really even knew that she here, if something did go wrong then she was basically in real trouble. She shook the thoughts from her mind quickly as she started to speak again. “so you lived in the manor?” she asked him curiously. So at least she knew he had a pretty easy up bringing and she probably shouldn’t trust him at all. “outlaws? I doubt anything will happen with them” she didn’t know much about the outlaws but she trusted them not to try and kill her or anything.
She wasn’t normally so quizzical but she was curious about the man who was standing there in front of her. After all, she didn’t often run into people in the forest. “I’ve really got nothing to do with the infamous robin hood. I’ve never really managed to meet him properly” she’d very much wanted to meet and get to chat with Robin eventually but then again, he had to keep a low profile around here ‘cause there were so many people who wanted him dead. “you may ask me the same question but were I pose an answer or not is a whole different matter” she answered honestly. “hmmm, well that seems to be a very legitimate cause to be in the forest for” she stated, as she couldn’t exactly fault what he’d just said.

She definitely looked like she was one of the villagers who was on the short side of the food supply. She didn't look familiar, but that didn't necessarily mean anything. He had not been moved back into the Scarlett's old place for that long, and he had not spent much time their recently since he had been spending most of his time doing spy work for Robin and the gang in the castle in Nottingham. So, given the way he was dressed she might think he was a noble or from Nottingham, or maybe even both. he did, though, seem somewhat vulnerable out here in te middle of the Forest. After all, there were other outlaws besides Robin Hood and his gang.
"Well .... you may be able to handle it quite well .... I don't know what you are or are not capable of. But why take any unnecessary chances, eh? .... The manor?,“ he laughed. "I was kind of caught betwixt and between. I started out in life as a noble, then lost everything, then was raised, for a time, in the house of another noble, while basically being considered a peasant for all practical purposes. I did get fed and have a good place to sleep, at least until I was 12. So, yes, I did live in the manor."
"Outlaws .... Robin Hood,“ he smiled. "I knew Robin of Locksley as a lad and could outshoot him with a bow .... then, but not now I would say. If you keep wandering the Forest you may actually get to meet him I might imagine. Well .... I'm glad that you agree that my cause to be here is an understandable one, if not a sound one. Now, would you like a ride back to Locksley, or do you not accept favors from strangers.?"

Liddy probably wasn’t the best person to be left on her own in the forest, yeah she knew about all the trouble that could happen in the forest, but she always believed she could handle it. Even if she... well couldn’t. She wanted to be independent but she couldn’t be; not in the world everyone lived in that time. Yeah, she was on her own, yeah she was in the middle of the forest, and yes she believed nothing could go too badly wrong. “you know your way around the forest easily then?” she asked wondering exactly how long he’d been around here for, as the longer you’d been around Locksley and Nottingham the more aware you became of the forest being able to find your way around so much easier than a normal person would.
“Life’s no fun if you don’t take unnecessary chances… what’s the point in living if nothing fun, or interesting ever happens? It can get a bit boring you know? Well you can’t tell me you like living with routine and doing the same thing all the time can you? ” Liddy spoke the words, she loved a little bit of excitement in her life. Routine was too repetitive for her, she hated that. She just smiled at the man, as he laughed she personally didn’t see what was so funny. “so you lived in the manor had an easy life, but then your not a nobleman?” she asked as she raised one of her eyebrows at Roe.
She doubted she’d ever really get to meet robin hood, but then she’d always been warned to keep away from him personally by her mother who thought he was bad news, even though he gave the family food and always seemed to be able to help out the village when they needed it. But apparently he was still bad news. “Yeah… hopefully; but I’ll probably just keep my distance from him, don’t want to end up being carted of too Nottingham to be hung now do i?” she stated in a rather cheery tone. “I can walk back to Locksley, not that I don’t trust you! You know... I can just walk” she wasn’t about to let herself take a ride back to Locksley by a total stranger she’d met little under fifteen minutes ago.
((ooc: sorry it's been taking me so long to reply))

Roe could tell that she her mind was actively working. It was like she had a whole load of questions, but didn't know how to put them in words, or how they would be received. "Yes, I spent much of my first 17 years here or nearby, and although I was away in the Crusades for a number of years its like it was yesterday to me."
"Well it depends on the chances you run I suppose. Taking 1 of 3 possible routes through the forest probably has less danger involved than deciding to send a group of knights over the next hill in the Crusade, especially if its designed simply to provoke your enemy." With the thought of the Sheriff and Prince John being in charge, there was little chance for boredom, he thought.
"Well, I was born a nobleman, but my family lost everything. My mother died having me and my father died in some foreign war owing more than he had. So another local nobleman, an Earl, took me on as a ward. So I did live at the manor until I was 12, but little more than a servant, in terms of my duties. By the time I was 12 I wqs apprenticed off to a local carpenter, and when I was 17 I went off to war. I thought perhaps I could gain back what my family had lost."
"As you wish .... I wouldn't think of forcing anyone to accept my hospitality," he laughed.
