Allan grinned widely at the monk. He was fast becoming an unofficial member of the gang. "Yeah, not bad for a day's work, eh?" He nodded at Tuck. "You coming with us, churchman, or you got your own plans?"
Suddenly the monk's words sank in and he pulled a face.
"A dowry? Piss off!"
He wasn't even entirely sure what part of his ridiculous situation was being mocked; was it the fact he was dressed in a wedding gown, or that Prince John's intended bride seemed to have set her cap for him. Either way, he didn't like being made fun of.

Isabella smiled at Allan when he returned some of the jewellery she had offered. The man was laden with glittering jewels, and cut a surreal figure. She had not expected him to give back her possessions, even if she was in league with the outlaws. She was glad he kept the wedding ring, though. She didn't want to see that again, and it would benefit some of the poor of Locksley, the village where she used to live. Isabella hid the necklace and earrings in her dress. She was getting used to secreting objects in her clothing now, though it was normally a dagger she was hiding in there. Prince John's face was the colour of beetroot, and she knew that this humiliation would take his confidence down a notch or two. That was no bad thing, especially as one day he could be the King of England. No time soon, she hoped, thinking of how vain and cruel he was. Isabella watched as Robin and the others began to retreat. Robin's theatrical performance made a smile tug at the corner of her mouth, but she suppressed it, replacing it instead with a stern frown. She hoped that the outlaws would be able to make their way out of the church safely - and that Lady Rosetta, wherever she was, was staying put.

Tuck was glad to see that Allan was gradually becoming more accepting of him. He did recognize that helping Allan escape from the church and the prospective wedding was a point in his favor. "Well since the Bishop, among others, has seen me with the outlaws, I am considered to be one now. So, if you'll have me, the outlaws are the only folks that are in my future plans," he laughed.
Tuck laughed again, "Don't take everything so seriously, Allan. What else would you call a haul like this that a prospective wife would bring with her would be called. Unless, of course, you want to give up your share, eh," and Tuck smiled broadly. "Everything' gone well o far, but i don't like it that we haven't seen Sir Guy or the Sheriff yet, and we still have to get out of here with all this loot. I won't feel safe until at least we are back in Sherwood."

Much watched wide eyed as situations unfolded around him. First the fight with Robin and John, then the revealing of Allan. But the outlaws seemed to have situations under control, and as soon as Allan mentioned the word, jewellry, Much got straight to it. He made his way row by row down the church, collecting all the jewellry that the Ladies were removing timidly. He couldn't help but smile to himself. The last thing on these women's mind was probably that they would get robbed today.
After all the jewellry was collected, the Outlaw's made a hasty exit. Everything had gone to plan, and had perhaps even worked better than they had anticipated. They had escaped with piles of jewellery, and had probably scratched Prince John's pride. Much grinned at Allan and Tuck's bickering. "Glad to have you on board Tuck." Much said, giving him a friendly slap on the shoulder, before jogging forewards slightly so that he was walking beside Robin. He turned to him smiling. "Well...that went better than I thought it would." stated Much. "What should we do about Rosetta then?"

Reaching the main doors of the church, Robin waited until his fellow outlaws were through it before he pulled them closed then looked for something to barricade them with. "I'll worry about Rosetta when we've made a clean getaway, Much." Robin grinned. "Now help me find something to keep that lot in so we can get out of Nottingham!"
Then, Robin eyed a broom which had been left nearby for sweeping up the horse dung so the Nobility wouldn't tred in it on their way to the House of God. Reaching for it, Robin hefted it up and slotted it between the handles. Turning to Much, the outlaw laughed as he clapped his best friend on the shoulder. "To the coach!" he ordered his fellow outlaws, taking off with a burst of speed and running down the steps. "Lets go and see how Carter and Little John are getting on with our guest!" Hauling himself up onto the driver's box, Robin held out his hand to pull Much up beside him. "You're driving," He informed his friend.

Allan clambered into the carriage and tried to settle into the seat, before looking plaintively around at the others.
"Someone tell me they kept hold of my clothes, please;" he asked everybody in general. This thing was itchy, awkward, it pinched him in funny places and he felt a right bloody fool still wearing it. The dress had served its purpose and he was eager to be rid of it.

Much couldn't help but smile as Robin clapped his shoulder. But after a while they were off again, and they were speeding towards the carriage. Much nodded at Robin's statement, and allowed himself to be hauled up by Robin. He plonked down on the drivers seat, and hastily grabbed hold of the reins. He turned around as the last few stragglers clambered on board. "Hurry up!" he nagged irritably.
He looked back at Allan as he spoke. He was pretty sure no-one had brought an extra pair of clothes for him. He bit his lip and then turned back around to face ahead of him.

Robin looked over his shoulder. "Spare clothes? Nope, sorry Allan, can't say that I did!" The outlaw looked around him as the horses galloped hell for leather down the main street of Nottingham. There, to Robin's left, a washing line hung across a side street. "Keep driving straight," He told Much. "I'll meet you by the main gate. If I'm delayed or taken, then don't stop. Get the others to safety and I'll try and find my way to you." Without waiting for his friend's reply, Robin jumped from the speeding coach. *Jump, land and roll* the outlaw thought to himself as he hit the ground and rolled out of the way of the coach's wheels. The momentum enabled him to leap to his feet and be off, running like a hare, before anyone was the wiser.
His eyes on his quarry, Robin plucked a pair of breeches and a shirt from the washing line, without faltering in his step. As he ran down the alley towards the main gate, the outlaw stuffed the garments inside his jerkin. "Hey!" There was a shout behind him. Robin glanced quickly over one shoulder. It was the Sheriff's soldiers. Quickening his pace, Robin bounded up the stairs and onto the battlements. His step slowed as Robin realised his way was barred by three armed guards. Slowly, the outlaw drew his sword. If it was a fight they wanted, then it was a fight they were going to get! But, just as Robin was about to swing at them, there was a clatter of hooves on the cobbles beneath him. It was the outlaws carriage.
Robin mockingly bid the soldiers adieu then leapt from the battlements. He sent a prayer heavenwards because, in his hurry, Robin hadn't had time to judge the distance. But providence was obviously on his side that day and as his feet hit the material of the carriage roof, it ripped and allowed the outlaw to plonk down on the floor of the coach. Breathing heavily, questing for air, Robin wearily pulled the clothes from his jerkin and stuffed towards Allan. "Don't complain they're the wrong side," The outlaw warned him sternly then, wearily staggered to his feet and pulled himself back onto the seat next to Much. "Lets go, Much," Robin was still breathing heavily.
