"John. John!" Robin shouted, as he chased after John, running around the barn trying to kill himself. "John. Stop now John..." He pulled him away from the door as he attempted to open it, going out to his death. Although he was a huge man, he was weak with emotion, and Robin - somehow - managed to stop him. He tried to comfort John, patting him on the back.
"We'll fight in the morning..." He murmured, "At daybreak, we will attack. Agreed?" He asked, looking around the room. "But the last of tonight, we will enjoy. Because today, John, today is not a good day to die." He paused, moving away from John, as he seemed calmer now. "Who's turn is it next then?" He asked with little emotion, "Much?"

Much starts talking about how he feels like a servent to his friend Robin. He says " Robin doesnt treat me like a friend only a servant and wont talk to me about the holy land, I feel really upset about this and i want to know about the holy land and why i get treated like the gangs slave and we never had this problem before Robin so why start now". Much feels really betrayed at whats happening and he wants to get on better with Robin but then he says "fine i will stay as aour servant".

"That's not true Much." He said, although he hadn't a clue if this was true, "I set you free as a servant, we're friends, Much. I don't see you as a servant, I don't treat you like my servant..." He looked around at those in the bar, "Do I?" He asked, hoping, wishing it wasn't true. If it was...he hadn't even noticed himself doing it.
"You want to know why I don't talk about the Holy Land? Why I don't open up about it?" He looked at Much, "Yes, we went through all that together. We stuck by each other. But the horrors we saw...if I think about them, I see them in my mind. I can't get them out of my mind anyway, without trying to talk about them. And if I think about those horrors - the screams, the men dying, the lives being utterly destroyed, annihilated then I can't just move past it."
Robin had never told anyone this, not even Marian - he hadn't opened up about the reasons behind not talking about the horrors they had witnessed in the Holy Land. But he'd never talked about the Holy Land before, either. "And if I can't get past those horrors, what was done there, then how can I lead? How can I go on fighting, and give out orders and organise people? I can't, Much. Because I'm not as strong as you. And instead of being able to accept it and move on, I have to just shut it out, because otherwise I can't go on."
"And I guess, if we're telling the truth, then the only other thing I have to say is that I love Marian. We're engaged...we're going to be married. Well, we were going to be..." He trailed off. "I love her, and I want to marry her, and grow old with her, and have kids with her. But now..." His voice disappeared again.
"So Much, I'm sorry if I treat you as a servant. But it's only because I can't think about how close we were in the Holy Lands. I have to distance myself, because I cannot fight otherwise. Every time i lift my bow, all I can hear is the dying screams of men that were killed. Men - and women - like us, screaming for their loved ones. And if I remember all that, I would never be able to raise my bow again. So that's the reason." He finished lamely, slumping against the wall.
"We should plan our attack." He said, with no emotion or feeling, as he summoned up the energy to plan their attack that would lead to eventual death. "There's only a couple of hours until daylight. We need a plan."

Will nodded silently, and then listened as Robin explained the 'plan' to them. There was very little chance that they would survive, even just to survive past the first part of the plan would be a miricle, but still, they listened to him and gave their own sugestions.
After a while, they had all memorized their parts of the plan, and knew exactly what they had to do. The first rays of sunlight were beggining to creep through the rickety wooden roof of the barn, causing streaks of light to be cast across their sollom faces. Will picked up his axe and took his place at the right hand side of the door, facing the exit, awaiting the order from Robin. Djaq followed, and took her place at the left hand side of the door. Will glanced over at her and rested his eyes upon her serious face, not knowing if he would ever be able to look upon it again.

Djaq looked over at Will, her eyes wet with tears. She gazed into his solemn eyes and smiled. This would be the last time she could look into his eyes again. If they died, she would still be happy, that she had shared her life with Will, the man of her dreams. But she wished she could have shared it with him a little longer. Settle down, start a family, grow old together. But that could not be any longer...
As she continued to look at Will, she walked over to him. These were the last moments of her life that she could spend with him, and she couldn't let them go to waste. She looked up at him, and he looked down at her. She brought her hand up to his cheek, and continued to gaze into his eyes. She sighed, stood on her tip toes, moved forewords, and kissed him. This would be the last time she would kiss him ever again, but it was the best kiss she had ever had.
After a while, she stepped back down, and backed away back into her position. She looked over at Will and let a tear slowly trickle down her cheek. "Today...is a good day to die..." she whispered. She looked over at the rest of the gang and smiled, her eyes still wet with tears. Robin nodded, and she peaked through a small gap in the door and froze.
At first she couldn't believe it, but then she started seeing the man more clearly. She squinted, and watched him raise his hands up at Soldiers as he started speaking and slowly moving to wards the barn. She shook her head in confusion. She turned to look at the rest of the gang sharply, her face fixed in disbelief, and whispered urgently, "It's Allan!" The gang stared back at her puzzled.
"Allan A Dale!"

They all looked around at each other with a solemn look in their eyes. They knew, although were probably all keeping it from each other, that they were going to die doing this. The chance of them surviving was so slim, Robin wasn't even going to consider it - it would be completely false hope. As they went through the plan of attack, he checked to see that everyone understood. "So, we stick together up until this point." He gestured in the sand, making marks with a stick. "Then branch out here." As someone asked what would happen from there, a sad smile came to his face. "I don't think we need a plan." No, they didn't - because they wouldn't survive that far.
As Djaq opened the door, he took a deep breath, and prepared himself. Checking his bow and arrow for one last time, he looked up in shock as Djaq revealed the identity of the person walking towards the barn. It was then he heard, muffled, what Allan was saying. "No. the Sheriff says I gotta take them to him. Don't ask me, I'm just following orders. Not being funny or anything, but you're still gonna be paid in full, even for only a half-day. The Sheriff wants them taken to the castle, so he can make an example of them or something. Public hanging, rather than starving them to death. Excuse me, excuse me!" And then, at the door was Allan. What was going on?
"What's going on?" He asked, unsure as to whether Allan was possibly on their side. "Allan?" And then Allan muttered that he was rescuing them. "They're going to the Holy Land. To kill the King." He paused, "And Robin, they've got Marian. She tried to kill the Sheriff, and now they're taking her with them." Robin looked panicked - about the King and Marian. He knew he had to trust Allan; they would die without his help, so even if his trust was misplaced, it wasn't going to do them much harm.
"Come on." He murmured, as Allan told them to follow him. They began to walk through the soldiers, following Allan, as he told them he was taking the Outlaws to the Sheriff. "We're not stupid. We know the Sheriff left this morning. But thank you for coaxing them out for us - saves us the hassle of waiting here until they were starved out." That was shouted by the chief soldier with a smirk, and the attack began...
