The beautiful figure of Lady Marian sat in her room, wondering what to do. Try to escape - and risk her father getting hurt more? Or stay here, pretend her loyalties lie with the Sheriff, and have to be away from Robin. Sighing, she pulled a brush gently through her long hair. She hated this house arrest; hated having to do exactly what she was told.

Hearing the knock, she jumped slightly; she wasn't expecting anyone to arrive. Hearing the voice, she sighed softly. What did Gisborne want? She stood, and pulled the door open to reveal the undoubtedly handsome man - but not the one she loved.

"Sir Guy," She began, pleasantly. It paid to be nice to Guy - and, somewhere, she definitely had some feelings for him. Not love, but possibly friendship, afterall he often helped her. "What can I do for you?"

[Sir Guy]

i smirk at your kindness, knowing it is not real

the sheriff is making an announcement soon to the villigers. Their tax is going to increase thanks to loss of some of our money. Do you know anything about this?

[Robin Hood]

*walks round the corner dressed as a guard, stoping and standing quickly by another door when spots Guy*

Moves closer to Marian to try to scare her a bit

i asked a question Marian and i expect an answer!!!

[Marian]

Sometimes she could make him believe her kindness was real, and sometimes it was - today it seemed she could not make him believe, and it was not real.

She shook her head solemnly and truthfully. "No, Guy, I haven't a clue. Why would I?" She asked, already planning to go and ask Robin if he knew anything of it, and jumping slightly at his raised voice. "But the taxes are already so high, surely it isn't fair to raise them once more? They can barely afford food as it is..."

She sighed softly, and looked up, their eyes meeting. "Can you not persuade the Sheriff not to higher them?"

[Sir Guy]

Looks down into your eyes with a glimse of affection

It is hard to persuade him Marian, even you know that but if Robin Hood has something to do with the money then it is his fault they can not afford the food

Finally gives up

I will try to persuade the sheriff, but what will i get in return?

There was not really any affection for him in her eyes, but more a pleading look - she did not want the poor to suffer, especially if it was something of Robin's doing! Robin would sort it, though - she was sure of it.

"I promise you, I don't know anything about it. I know nothing about anything Robin Hood does, either." She replied, defiantly.

"Thank-you, Sir Guy." She answered, then paused. "Friendship." What else could she say?

[Sir Guy]

smirks. He knew he wanted more than friendship but he knew she didnt love him no more

There was a time when i would of done anything for you Marian...Times change i guess

Nodds to say i accept the offer and walk out and close the door

[Marian]

"Friendship is not so little to me, Sir Guy. It means a lot." She replied quickly. She did not want to give him any more than friendship - but would he accept that?

She didn't pull away as he touched her cheek, but flinched slightly at his cool touch. She knew that if she moved away from this slight show of affection, he could make life difficult for her.

"Thank you..." Was her whispered reply, as he walked out. Times do change...Marian was becoming more rebellious as time passed. She sat on her bed, wanting to see Robin - but she would have to plan how to escape the Castle first...

*Moves into the room as Guy exits* "marian..how are you today?

[Marian]

A look of surprise crossed her face, then a smile. She was definitley pleased to see Robin, although as usual she spoke to him in a manner which might suggest she wasn't. "Alright, apart from this house arrest...and you?" She asked, "Should you just wander into a lady's room without knocking?" She asked, with a slight smirk on her face.

"Gisborne said the Sheriff is to raise taxes, because some money went missing. Do you know anything about it?" She asked, getting back to business.

[Robin Hood]

Shakes head "Thats what I came here to ask" chuckles "but I am glad to see you too"

[Sir Guy]

you hear me talking to a guard outside before knocking on your door

Marian?!

Some niceness in my voice but still sounding angry as usual
