Lord Kensington nodded in agreement and walked over to the window again, looking out at the people. He gave out a sigh. "No. She has gone away, but, she is not ill. Not as far as I am aware. I do not know where she has gone, or the reason. Just that she has."

Honey nodded slightly, taking a seat at the grand table in the centre of the room.
"When do you wish to begin the search for a husband father?"

Lord Kensington didn't answer her for a few minutes, continuing to stare out of the window. He then went off topic. "I do wonder whether I made the right decision, marrying your mother. I often wonder whether she hates me. She says it a few times, but that is just in jest."

"Mother loves you, of course she does. She would never truely hate you."
Honeysuckle hoped that her words were true, fearing how her father would treat her if her words were false.

Lord Kensington sighed, his shoulders dropping. "I tell you, marry because it is the best thing for you. Find the right person, with the right status. I did. I married your mother, and she is perfect. But...I also married for love. Stupid idea. I loved her. Ever since I laid eyes on her, and now...I do not know if she feels the same. I wonder if she is leaving me." He took a deep breath. "But that is no matter for now. We need to get you a husband."

"She would not leave you, without you she is nothing father."
A soft sigh escaped her, she had been hoping to stall him a little longer.

"I suppose so. Yes. You are right. She has probably gone to see family or something," Lord Kensington replied, then turned to her. "We need to get you a husband. Now, we shall start tomorrow."

"To...morrow..?" She echoed his final word, searching deep into her mind in search of something, anything she could do to find a way around this impending marriage

"Yes, tomorrow. The sooner the better," Lord Kensington replied, nodding and straightening out his clothes. "Do you have a problem with that? Because I sure hope you do not."

"No problem whatsoever father." She smiled politely, running a hand through her hair to gather the loose strands.

"Good," Lord Kensington replied, nodding in agreement. "Now then. I feel I should meet some of the people here. As should you. Care to accompany me?"

"Of course father. It will serve me well to meet the people of this town." She nodded politely, standing up from her seat.

Isabella had remained silent for a long while, listening intently to the Herrons' conversation. So, this girl Honeysuckle was wild and had to beg for the forgiveness of her father. Still, she had it now, and Isabella could not help but feel sympathy towards her. She was so young, but her father was desperate to marry her off well. Still, she herself had been thirteen on the day of her wedding to Thornton. She nodded to Lord Herron. "Perhaps I could introduce you both to the Sheriff of Nottingham?" she suggested, "It was he who sent me to welcome you."

Lord Kensington turned to the woman and gave her a smile. "I would be delighted to meet the Sheriff. I have not been here too often," he replied, nodding. "And who might you be, not that I intend to be rude in my asking." Lord Kensington had not met the woman before. Maybe he would know of her by name.

Isabella returned the nobleman's smile. By now, she was used to giving the polite smiles that were necessary when introducing herself to strangers. "My name is Lady Isabella Thornton," she replied, adding, "My brother, Sir Guy of Gisborne, is currently in residence here at the castle. You may have met him before?"
