Much poked his head out of the wilderness he was hiding behind. He and the rest of the outlaws, plus Carter, were hiding behind whatever greenary they could, just on the outskirts of the Road to Nottingham from Locksley. There were a few stragglers walking on their way to Nottingham. But most of the residents of Locksley had chosen to get to the ceremony as quickly and as early as they could. It was lucky for the outlaws, as they had some capturing to do.
Much tapped Robin on the shoulder. He was located just in front of him, as he always was. "Robin," Much hissed, "What if Rosetta has already come past?" he asked worriedly. That would mean their whole plan was ruined.

Allan shook his head. "Bride's always the last to arrive. It's tradition. We're in plenty of time."
That was the least of his worries. He was walking right up to the devil to spit in his face. Christ only knew what sort of price John would put on his head after this. Maybe his ransom would be higher than Robin's-
He grinned. There was always a silver lining to every cloud. Still, there were others that were due to be present at this wedding that he'd sooner avoid. Guy, for one. He'd managed to keep out of his way since their return from the Holy Land, but he knew that there had to be comeuppance for his betrayal sooner or later. His grin faded.

Carter nodded. "He's right." mumbled Carter in a low voice, turning his head slightly to address Much. He had taken his place next to Robin, in front of the rest of the gang. He quickly twisted his head back around to face the front and kept his eyes peeled for the carriage. He didn't know a great deal about weddings, but he had attended the wedding of Will and Djaq. But all he really remembered about it was that it was beyond awkward.
Carter shifted his possition slightly, being careful that his movements created hardly any noise. He was crouching on the ground, his back resting against a small tree. "So, who's doing what now?" he asked the gang. He knew that a lot of what the outlaws did was spir-of-the-moment stuff, but Carter always liked things to be planned out and perfect. Of course, he was well aware of what Allan's job in the charade was. He smiled just thinking about it. Some of the outlaws would probably remain on the carriage, whilst the others somehow sneak into the wedding to make sure everything goes to plan. He wondered what job he would be assigned.

Rosetta was riding past tears in her eyes. "Why today?" she asked herself. "May the Goddess damn me if the Outlaws do not help me." she said. Her horse Dardevil snorted in agreement. Finding Much was the only way she could get out of this. She was in her bridal wear and Dardevil was wearing a white saddle and bridal. "Don't worry I'm sure they are close by." said Rosetta.

Robin just nodded as Allan basically answered Much's question. "She'll want to make a grand entrance, I guess," he added, twisting round from his position to look at the outlaws.
"With Allan acting as the blushing bride, we need one of us to drive the carriage." Robin looked directly at Much. There was no one else he would trust with the job. "Much, thats your task. You can handle the horses." Then he glanced at Carter. "I'll need someone to look after Lady Rosetta. She'll be a handfull but do you think you can manage her, Carter? We'll have to hide her during the ceremony too, just in case Prince John's guards find her and force her to go through with it."
Robin bit his thumb tip anxiously as he worked out the plan in his mind. Then his head snapped up as Robin heard hoof beats. "Here she comes. Ready lads?" Without waiting for any reply, Robin pushed his way through the bushes and out onto the dirt road. Reaching up, he caught hold of the Lady's mount by the bridle. "Good day to you, Lady Rosetta, on what should be your wedding day. However, I'm afraid Prince John is going to be denied the honour of your presence." Patting Daredevil on the shoulder, the outlaw leaned closer to the Lady. "We know of your mission, my Lady. The King sends word to rescind your orders."
"Much! Allan! Hurry up." Robin exerted some force as the stallion tried to rear up. "There's no way Allan will be able to ride this horse. Much, run back to the village and get the carriage, can you?" Robin held up his hand to Lady Rosetta. "And in the meantime, my Lady, if you would care to dismount then my men can take it from here."

Much nodded and sprinted as fast as his legs could carry him towards Locksley village. Thank goodness it was not too far away. The carriage was in plain sight, and he pumped his arms, his long cloak billowing as he sped towards it. As soon as he reached it, he snatched the nearest horses he could find, dragged it over, attached it to the Carriage, and swung on board. He sat down in the traditional drivers possition and sighed in achievement. He had done it, and all in record timing. But there was not another moment to waste.
He pulled on the horses reins, and they cantered forewards, nearly knocking Much off his seat. As he gained his composure, he leaned forewards, his eyes squinted and the figures of Robin, Rosetta and the rest of the gang became closer and closer.
As soon as he reached them he yelled. "Quick someone! GET ROSETTA'S CLOTHES OFF!" It was moments like these Much often started to shout with panic, which often got on everyones nerves. For the time being he ignored the bawdiness of what he had just said, and concentrated on the task ahead.

Tuck had thought about whether he had made the right decision in leaving the outlaws, as well as what Robin had told him, and what he had given him, as Tuck rolled the badge over and over in his hand. He was pretty sure of what Sister Mags would tell him .... that his calling was more with the outlaws than with the Sisters. He really was just looking for some affirmation of what he was feeling, and he had received it. He knew that the outlaws were heading in the direction of Locksley, so that was where he directed himself. He had made almost all the way to Locksley, when he saw a group of man gathered around a carriage, and he decided to investigate, before his search for the outlaws began in earnest again.

"Hey get off me!" Rosetta yelled. She kicked Daredevil into a gallop. But then she remembered. "Much!" she said stopping the horse and running to him. "Where's Allan?" she asked as she wrapped him in an embrace.

Allan laughed out loud at Much's rallying cry. Could he have picked a worse thing to shout?
"That's right, get your kit off, m'lady! I'm going to be your secret double. There'll be no marrying John for you today."
He dragged his rough and tattered shirt over his head and dropped it at his feet. They didn't have a huge amount of time to spare, so he might as well be ready.
There was nothing like being the big hero.
"Told you I'd sort it, didn't I?" he teased Rosetta gently. "You ain't gonna have to face poor old John today, that's my job-" he paused.
She did look good though, in that dress. She'd look even better out of it, his thoughts whispered, but he did his best to ignore them and focus on the matter at hand. [ooc - I know this is the worst timing ever, but I am going to Download festival on Wednesday and I will be back Monday. Would you guys be ok with waiting for me? This storyline has been brewing so long and it's so epic that I would be completely gutted if I missed the dramatic climax, especially since I kind of am the dramatic climax, being a bearded man in a wedding dress (eventually)]

((ooc. Sure thing Allan, I'll lock the topic on Wednesday when you go, and we can continue on Monday. After all, we can't really do it without you!)) Carter grinned at Much's comment. Alright. Now was the time all personal dignity had to fly out the window. He yanked off Rosetta's veil and thrust it at Allan. "Of all things, you'll definately be needing this." he said raising his eyebrows. If Allan was going to get away with being a woman, he would have to at least cover up his...less that feminine facial features.
"Hurry up." Carter said rudely to Rosetta. If she wouldn't undress herself, he was going to have to do it for her. And he'd rather not to be perfectly frank. Well. At least the good news was she didn't seem to want to attend the wedding anyway. And not attending the wedding, meant not killing Prince John. Hopefully she was oblige, and agree to not kill Prince John. Carter figured there was quite a lot of explaining to do.
"Rosetta." he said addressing her seriously. "We have been sent here to stop you killing Prince John. We know what King Richard sent you to do, and it was a mistake. I am Carter, and I was given strict orders from King Richard to stop you killing the Prince. If you do not co-operate, then we will have no choice but to use force on you. Do you understand?" he asked, looking Rosetta straight in the eyes.

((OMG! I'll be at Download too!!)) "Look I'm not getting out of this dress and thats final." said Rosetta mounting Daredevil again. "Allan..My heart is yours but this marriage has to go on you cannot stop it." she said. She kicked her horse into a swift canter.

Allan rolled his eyes in frustration and didn't hesitate to start running. A horse was faster than a man over 100 yards, for certain, but when it came to shorter distances, humans had the better acceleration. Probably something to do with less legs to sort out. He took advantage of the sloping ground and leapt desperately for the retreating stallion, dragging himself up onto the animal's back behind the saddle and pulling the reins from Rosetta's hands. He had a few choice words ready for her. He just hoped that Daredevil wasn't going to protest too much.

Robin dived to grab the horse's reins as Lady Rosetta decided to make a break for it. The beast was strong and dragged him along for a few yards until Allan leapt on its back and brought it to a halt. Hissing with pain, Robin opened his palms and inspected the long red weals. There was blood too. He grimaced and let go of the horse's bridle, confident that Allan had everything under control.
Walking to the beast's side, Robin looked up at Rosetta and scowled. "Get down from that horse before I pull you down." he said angrily. "If you go through with this marriage, then I can guarantee you'll probably be dead before the honeymoon starts. Don't be stupid, woman. For once, just do as you're told!" Robin was close to losing his patience, and the pain from his hands didn't help either. There was a whole lot staked on this little enterprise and if he couldn't use his bow because of his injuries, then the whole thing might just fall through.

Rosetta did as she was told but walked off. She looked back. "I can take care of myself." she said. She drew her sword. "Let me go or I will kill you all." she said. She wouldnt do it but it was the best threat she could come up with.

That was the final straw. Allan slid off the horse's back and confronted her, goosebumps starting to appear on his bare shoulders as he grabbed hold of her sword arm.
"I don't know what your problem is, Miss, but you can stop it right now. Ever since you turned up in Nottingham you've caused nothing but trouble. You go round telling people all sorts of...bollocks," - he spat the word angrily, "...but actions speak louder than words and I don't think any of us have seen you follow up on much that you've said. You say you don't want to marry John, and yet you won't let us stop him. You've heard from one of Richard's own men that the assassination's been called off and you still won't let us sort this mess out. You go round telling people that you're in l..."
He stopped himself. He was about to call out her protestations of love for him, but his pride wouldn't let him in front of the outlaws, especially Kate. It was true though, he told himself angrily. She told all and sundry that he was the only man for her, and yet she'd blown hot and cold until it had driven him crazy. He didn't know what she really thought of him. He wanted to turn away, but he knew better than to loosen his grip on her arm and give her a chance to leg it.
