She had been quite resourceful it would seem. They must also have assumed that she was beaten so badly that she couldn't easily escape or run very far. "How long did it take you to travel back here and what route did you take. I imagine that you stayed away from the main roads for obvious reasons.""

"I don't have much .... some bread .... and some fruit. It will have to do until we get to Nottingham. Take what you need. I can make do for several days, but you can't. You are not a burden. However, I expect that when we get there you will have to stay with me. I doubt if you have any money, and you will have no place to stay, so I doubt that you will have to put up with me, at least for a few days. However, they will undoubtedly want to know why you are with me, and since your cousin is a known outlaw, I wouldn't use your last name."

[Annabella Scarlett]

"It took me about three days to get back here."

The mention of food was enough to make her stomach growl with hunger.

"Bread is fine...and thank you, you are too kind to be helping me like this..."

[Roe]

It sounded like she had just stayed off the main roads to get back here. It would have made it difficult to track her, but there was always the chance that they could get back to the point where they had abducted her in the first place, before she got back herself. "I take it that you avoided the place where they attacked you in the first place .... that would have been the wisest decision."

"Enjoy whatever you can find .... the kitchen such as it is .... is yours. Don't be ridiculous, I consider you to be an extension of Dan Scarlett's family. I would do anything for them, or you, that I could. So .... don't look at any of this as a favor or debt to pay back. Besides, we won't entirely be out of the woods until we get to Nottingham, or are under Robin Hood's protection. We'll probably want to go next door and get some proper clothes for you to wear there, especially if you are to pass as one of my relation."[

"I have dresses of a better quality at my house. I can collect some later on."

She stood up, looking around the room she was in.

[Roe]

Roe wondered when she wanted to go and collect them. "Is there anything that you're looking for here? By the way, did you want to treat your own wounds. If you want me to do a complete job, it will probably require you to take some of your clothes off I would imagine. That being said, I didn't know if you wanted to do it yourself," he said with a slight blush.

"I'll clean them myself. Thank you."

She blushed red, dropping her eyes to the floor.

"So...erm...kitchen...this way..?"

She pointed out of the nearest door, shifting awkwardly

He thought her sense of modesty might lead her toward doing it herself. "Yes ....its basically the back room .... you'll see a wash basin and some cleaning supples there as well. Give me a shout if you need anything."

[Annabella Scarlett]

"Thanks."

She smiled softly, disappearing into the back room to clean herself up as best she could.

Once she was done, she headed back into the front room, debating whether or not she should go across to her own house to collect some dresses.

[Roe]

"Well ..... that looks better ..... how do you feel now, and more importantly, what do you want to do, and is there anything more that you need to tell me about what happened?" Roe wondered how much she had told him and how much she couldn't bring to tell him yet, especially since, in many ways, he was still a stranger to her.

[Annabella Scarlett]

"I feel much better. Thank you."

Anna smiled, sitting down on the edge of a chair.

"Do you think it would be safe for me to go and collect some clothes from my house? I don't really want to talk about what happened, is that okay..?"
