As the sub-group of outlaws emerged from the spiral staircase, Isabella searched for any danger before leading them into another shadowy corridor. She hurried quietly along the cold passageway, taking care to remember which turns to take in order to reach the east gate. Eventually they reached their destination, as yet unseen and unheard. Isabella cast her eye over the east gate, measuring how difficult it would be to get the outlaws out of the castle in that way. As far as she could tell, there were three guards, currently with their backs to her. She turned to the others to swiftly form a plan. "Three guards," she whispered, "And five of us. Should we attack from behind?" She reached for her dagger, ready to use it if she had to.

"S'gonna be hard to sneak us all past them three," Allan whispered back as quietly as he could; "we're best off silencing 'em as quick as possible. If we take one each and we time it right, we might not even clue anyone else in."

Carter sighed, and then tutted, shaking his head at Allan and Isabella. "Jesus. What's the big deal? It's three versus five." he said with a raised eyebrow. "What are we waiting for?" He stepped forewards, his sword unsheathed, and his footsteps not even audible, as he approached the 3 guards. With a sudden and precise slice of his sword, the 3 guards fell in a slumped heap on the ground. One was dead, 2 were unconcious. Carter absentmindedly nudged the guard closest to him, and then turned around to face everyone else.
"Sorry to steal all the thunder." he said with an amused smile, "But we should get moving."

"Very impressive," retorted Allan in a loud whisper, "but you were only quiet until they started hitting the floor. They've got all metal armour on 'em. We should keep moving, smarty pants."

Isabella rolled her eyes at Carter and Allan's bickering. It really isn't the time to start arguing, she thought irritatedly. She hurried to the guards, searching their bodies. It didn't take her long to find what she was looking for. Keys. She picked up the ring of jangling twisted metal from around the belt of the tallest. "Come on, then," she whispered, heading towards the huge gate, "You're nearly out." She reached the gate - an enormous, sturdy wooden door stood between them and freedom. Luckily, Isabella knew about the smaller, normal-sized door that was built into the huge one. The small door was to take in travellers who had come on foot, but it wasn't used much anymore. She fumbled for the keys, searching to find which was the right one. After a moment of trial and error, she found the one that fitted the lock. It made a satisfying clunk as it fitted neatly into place. She turned it, with great effort, and attempted to push the door open. It wouldn't budge. Evidently it had been a while since it was last opened, and now needed a few more people than just Isabella to force it into submission. Sighing deeply, Isabella whirled around to face Carter and Allan. "Perhaps you could get this open?" she asked, her eyes flicking towards the fair-haired man as she added, "Without making too much noise, that is."

Carter rolled his eyes. "Look, I took them out didn't I? We haven't lost any time have we? And no-ones coming are they?" he asked stubbornly, turning his nose up at Allan. As Isabella took some keys from one of the unconsious guards he smirked. There. Something good had come out of it.
They reached the door, and Isabella seemed to have some trouble opening it. As she asked for their assisstance he raised an eyebrow at Allan. "Alright then Miss Gisbourne." Carter said patronisingly, readying himself by the door, ready for a helping nudge.

Allan grinned. "Nice one, Bella." She was on the ball, he'd give her that. He put his shoulder up against the door, next to Carter's.
"Ready? On three. Right; one, two, three!

Isabella scowled at Carter for his patronising tone. Miss Gisbourne? And she had only asked him to open the door. Why was it that he was a skilled killer one moment, and a childish fool the next? She flashed a smile at Allan for his compliment. "Thankyou, Allan," she said pointedly, glowering at his fair-haired companion. She stepped aside as both men came forward to make an attempt to force open the door. I hope Carter hurts his shoulder, she thought childishly, in spite of herself, That'll teach him. Then Allan counted - one, two, three - and she watched as the outlaws tried to get out of the castle once and for all.

Carter rolled his eyes and heaved at the door. It opened with a jolt, and Carter momentarily stumbled forewards, before regaining his composure in an instant. He span around, and stuck his foot out, propping open the door. "Ladies first," he mused, eying Isabella and Djaq. He wasn't even sure if he was being sarcastic or not anymore.
As soon as everyone was through the door, he removed his foot, and let the door close silently. He breathed a sigh of relief, and then jogged forewards, on his way to freedom.
