Roe was glad to see that both Allan and Carter had come through unscathed. They had no idea that Izzy and he had known each other as children, and he had known Guy as well. With each passing day things were becoming clearer. "You two don't understand .... well I guess nobody understands .... Izzy .... Isabella and I knew each other back when we were children .... and were friends. However, I would not necessarily put Guy in the same category."
Roe then stood back and listened to what Allan had to say. "I definitely wouldn't contradict any of that Allan. That was clear as soon as she opened the door to the guest room. We haven't been formally introduced yet, so I doubt whether I should be giving you advice Djaq, but Allan is right, and I hope you'll heed his advice."

Isabella noticed the way the two outlaws who had helped her were looking at her and Roe, their eyes flicking from one to another in a knowing, amused way. For a second, she did not realise what they could see, but when she did, she felt herself colouring immediately. She stared down at the floor and studied her shoes for a while as everyone talked and decided what to do next. As she listened to the conversation, she found out a lot of valuable information. So Roe was working as a spy for the outlaws? And Nottingham would be raised to the ground if Sheriff Vasey was killed? At least now she knew the names of the two men: the blond one was Carter, and the one with brown hair and a huge grin on his face was Allan. She was incredibly glad when Roe explained how they knew one another, and finally stopped staring at the ground to look at the outlaws and be more involved with what they were deciding upon. She glanced at Roe gratefully before turning towards the others.

Djaq stared at the ground guiltily. "I'm sorry..." she said, so quietly her words were hardly audible. She felt so bad for what she had done. The reason everyone was here was because of her, and her foolishness. She sighed, and then regained her composure. She acknoledged Allan's hand on her shoulder with a friendly smile, and then unshealthed her sword. "Thank you everyone." she said greatfully, and a little bit louder.
"Alright." she said, addressing Allan, Carter and Will, "We should go now. We can't stand here in the middle of the corridor all day." she said, with a meek smile. She nodded at Roe and Isabella, and quickly made her way towards the staircase, sword at the ready, incase any Guards came on their path.

Roe nodded back with friendly deference back to the Saracen female, Djaq. They would have an interesting conversation when they all got back to the camp, if he ever made it back beyond Nottingham's wall. By omission the path had been chosen. "I would guess then that you want Isabella to run a diversion on the other side of the castle and to stay here. I do hope that nobody is still alive who witnessed any of the help that I gave you. In any case .... give us about ten minutes ..... and Good Luck to you!"

Isabella turned to Roe. "I was meant to be a diversion to the Sheriff and Guy, but ran into Djaq on the way," she explained, "Should I find them and keep them busy, or just run to the other end of the castle and cause a general racket? The latter may be more useful if you're all going back to the outlaws' camp?" She looked around at Djaq, Will, Carter, Allan and Roe. Before tonight they had all been strangers. Now they were trusting each other with their lives. It was odd, she thought, but they were all on the outlaws' side, and if they didn't work together they would be nothing.

"Well .... I suppose it depends if I stay or not. If I stay I would go raise the alarm on the other side of the castle. While I'm doing that, keeping the Sheriff and Guy busy would seem to be the thing to do. It would keep the Sheriff separated from his guards and on the side opposite from where are friends will be escaping. However, if I'm to go with them then a general ruckus on the other side of the castle, by you, might be the call. Carter and Allan, he called. "You two seem to be the leaders of this expedition. What would your call be?"

Allan wrinkled his forehead thoughtfully. "Probably better to avoid blowing your cover as long as possible, to be honest. It's good to have you in the castle, and if you sound the alarm over the wrong side then no-one'll spot us leaving. Also means that Isabella doesn't have to go and distract the sheriff; he'll be more interested in what the guards are up to." He turned to Carter. "What do you reckon?"
[ooc - right that's it for me for now! I should be back Monday evening, so I'll see you all then. Have fun!!]

Carter scratched his chin, with the remaining hand resting casually on his hip. "I agree with Allan." he said with a small nod, taking his hand down from his chin, and placing it on his other hip. "If Roe distracts the guards, the Sheriff would most likely want to check out what was going on."
"But it would also be useful to have Isabella close at hand, incase Guy or Prince John come across us." he said solemnly. "Besides, I've heard Sir Guy and The Sheriff haven't been on best terms recently. If there was something going on with the guards, Guy might not care anymore." he said, staring into the distance in thought.

Isabella nodded, taking their plans in. "So," she said, turning to Carter and Allan, "I'll see you out, whilst Roe causes a distraction on the other side of the castle. Then I can go there, allegedly 'to find out what's going on'. If there's a racket, no-one will believe me if I just go back to my chamber. And I'll also be in the Sheriff's sight, so both myself and Roe will be above suspicion should the guards notice you escaping, as we'll have been with the Sheriff at the time you're leaving the castle. It will look like you just came in." She frowned, thinking their idea through. It should work, she thought, If only we aren't caught before the outlaws get out of the castle. But there was no way to solve that problem - not now. Now, they had to go. "Right," she began, "We'd better leave as soon as we can."

That made it as clear as they good, given the rapidity with wich conditions and alliances were changing. Roe had offered two clear-cut options. Although it took them a few moments, first Allan, then, Carter, and then Izzy has come to a rapid consensus. Since she was going to be the most directly involves Isabella's ideas were the most detailed. "Everyone entered through the west gate I believe. I'll kill the 2 guards that I know are there, and start the alarm from there. Allan and Carter .... I would get moving .... just not too fast."
"I think you will want let the disturbance develop some as you make your escape. Isabella .... just go with the flow .... knowing the Sheriff and the fact that he trusts no one and will try to catch you up .... be just ambiguous enough that he can't pin you down while leading them toward the creative disturbance. If it causes him to suspect me .... don't worry about it .... you aren't really supposed to know me ... so never allow yourself to defend me. Besides .... I can take care of myself," he said with a sly smile.

"I'm sure you can," Isabella replied, remembering the way Roe had dispatched those guards previously. When she first arrived in Nottingham, the idea of killing had horrified her, but now it almost seemed normal. Whenever she was with the outlaws, she found that that was what was often required of them. She was glad that it wasn't her who had to do such things. She was far better at getting the outlaws in and out of places they shouldn’t be in, and finding out what was going on inside the castle. “Don’t worry about me blowing your cover,” she added, “I ought to be good enough at lying by now to deal with that.” She turned to the others, trying to think of the best way to get them all out of the castle. “If Roe’s on the west gate, we’d better get out via the east,” she decided, “They’ll be five of us. That should be enough people to deal with anyone there, if necessary.”

Carter nodded. There was absolutely no time to waste. "Alright." he mumbled authorititivly, "Let's get moving." he slowly made his way towards the east gate, as Isabella had suggested. They had already wasted a fair amount of time pondering over how their plan should work. Time Carter had been waiting impatiently throughout. But now everything was sorted out, they had to leave, as quickly and as quietly as possible.

Roe quickly sped to the west gate, making sure that he was not being watched or followed. It was still vital that his cover as a spy remained intact. Speed was also important, since he wanted the alarm to be raised and guards drawn away from the east gate before Carter and the others reached it. Also, knowing Carter, he knew that he would not be wasting time in getting to the gate and out of the castle. He soon found the gate in question .... there were only 2 guards .... so thankfully he saw it would be easy and quick.
Sure that there was nobody else around, after a quick reconnaissance, he announced himself to the two guards. He asked if they had seen anyone, and after they had responded by how bored they were with their assignment, they both turned back to the gates, with their backs to the crusader. He quickly pulled a knife-blade from under his belt, reaching around and inserting it under the front ribs of the first guard, allowing him to drop, and before the other guard could turn around, responding to the cry from the first guard, he slashed him across the neck with one of his broadswords.
Quickly he turned both fallen guards over on their backs, and took his bow off his shoulder and fired an arrow into the chest of each man. He did this to make sure that it appeared that they had been attacked from the front, likely from someone outside the walls, and the primary wounds would look like they had been received to finish them off after being shot with the arrows. Roe extracted his knife-blade and cleaned it and his sword-blade. Quickly Roe ascended one of the adjacent castle turrets so that he would have visual contact with other guards. Waving his broadswords so that the sun's reflection would get their attention, and yelled, "Sound the alarm! Outlaw attack at the West Gate! 2 Guards down! Send for Assistance!"

Isabella nodded towards Carter, realising how impatient he was to go. "Lucky you were born ready," she commented, before turning in the direction of the east gate and rushing down the corridor. Her shoes made a soft scuff noise as they pounded on the uneven floor, but otherwise, she was silent. She quickly twisted her head around to check that everyone was following her, and spotted Roe running in the opposite direction, towards the west gate. She hoped that he would be able to raise the alarm there successfully so that she could get all of the outlaws out of the castle and to safety. Especially Djaq, before she changed her mind about killing the Sheriff. As she reached the staircase at the end of the corridor, she listened for movement. If anyone was on the staircase, their cover would be blown and it would all be over. Fortunately, she could hear nothing. "This way," she whispered as she headed down the staircase, being careful not to trip on the steps. She had already fallen over once inside the castle, and she had no desire to do so again. The staircase was very echoey, so she hurried to get down it as fast as possible.

As the plan was decided, Djaq remained silent. She chose just to listen, and not give any input towards the situation. She figured that she would just make things worse. She would just do whatever anyone else told her to, and then hopefully they'd all get out of the castle alive.
As Isabella set off, she followed as quick as she could, her movements silent as she made her way down the corridor. It was times like these that she was glad she was not wearing a dress, as Isabella was. Wearing a dress just made running, fighting, and everything else you need to do as an Outlaw twice as difficult. She wore a dress happily in the Holyland, but only because there was no running or fighting to be done.
