"You're doing great! Carter pondered. Should he try and find Djaq to help her? But he had no idea where Djaq was. He frowned. Plus there was no-where to take her, since Carter didn't actually have a home. The only thing he could do was wait for her to get better, right on this very spot. "Do you have any friends or family that I can take you to?" asked Carter hopefully. He doubted it, since she was a slave, and her only home would be the castle, and it wouldn't be wise to take her back there, both for his and her sake.

She shook her head, her eyes screwed shut with the pain."I have no one. My family are not in this country." Livia looked around the market place, nervous and on edge, looking for guards. "I will be fine. If you have any where else to be I will be fine to look after myself."

Carter shook his head at the abserd proposal. "No. I'm not just going to leave you here in this state." he said sternly. "It's just, I don't have a home, so I wouldn't be able to take you anywhere." he said, thinking.
"Are you from the Holyland?" he asked suddenly.

"I am from Jerusalem, but for many years I have lived in the war camp of Saladin as his slave."
Her face flushed with shame and embarrassment, and she rubbed the back of her neck awkwardly, her fingers running over the brand given to her by her previous master.

Carter really had no idea where Jerusalem was, so he simply nodded and said nothing more about it. He presumed Jerusalem was in the Holyland, since Livia did look like someone from around there.
As Livia's hand brushed the back of her head, Carter winced as he saw the brand. "Ouch." he whispered. He stepped towards her. "Do you mind?" he asked, and with that ran his index finger down the brand. It was a perminant mark, and Carter shook his head. "You poor girl..." he said.

"That is an old mark. It does not hurt anymore."
The brand in question was the mark of Saladin, the mark of the Prince was hidden, a lot harder to find unless one knew where to look.
"Do you know of my homeland? You speak as though you do."

Carter stepped back again and nodded. "You're right. I've just come back from your homeland actually. I was over there fighting in the Crusade." he cleared his throat.
"Do you think there would be any way that you could...escape from here? he wasn't really thinking about what he was saying, but if she could escape from the Sheriff and Nottingham, she could maybe lead a happier life. Or she could just go into hiding in Clun, or a small village of the sort. "I mean, you're out of the castle, I'm guessing you don't really want to go back." he stated, gesturing towards her wounds.

Livia shook her head delicately.
"I cannot go back there, they will hurt me if I go back there."
Her voice shook with terror as she spoke, her arms and legs shaking with the strain she was putting on them simply by standing.

Carter moved forewards to steady her. Clearly she didn't have the strength in her to escape on her own. But there was no-where for her to go! It was out of the question that he could take her to the outlaws camp. That would not even be worth considering. But perhaps he could take her near abouts, and seek help from the gang. Maybe Djaq would be in camp. He sighed thoughtfully.

Livia's hand tightened on the edge of the market stall and she leant forward to try and balance her weight. Every sound in the market place caught her attention and startled her, her head snapping from side to side cautiously.

That was when it hit him. Carter had recently befriended an ex-crusader named Roe. He had a house of his own, and lived in Locksley, which was not too far from Nottingham. If he could take Livia there, she would have somewhere to rest and recover. But would Roe mind? Carter scratched his hair, ruffling it slightly. He would have to give it a try, there was no-where else to go.
"Look...Livia...I know somewhere that I could take you, and hopefully you'd be able to stay there for a while and recover." Carter said, fixing his deep blue eyes on hers. "But, we would need to walk to Locksley." Carter, not wanting to waste any more time, rapidly picked Livia up in his arms, without even asking permission, and starting jogging on his way.

Livia nodded delicately, slightly startled by being picked up.
"Is Locksley far?"
