Isabella shrugged. "I don't know," she replied, "I could ask them to pay for my silence. If I take a long time about it and start wrangling with my brother, I could be there for quite a while. They're so tight-fisted they'll spend as much time as it takes to strike a bargain. But Guy loses patience easily, so you'd best be as quick as possible." Isabella started thinking through how exactly she was going to do this. If she took too long with Guy, he would throw her in the dungeons and it would be over. She'd just have to take her time with them, and try to find out when to stop. Still, she was unspeakably nervous about the whole thing. She straightened herself up, prepared for anything. "If it doesn't work, I can always make something up about Robin Hood forcing me at swordpoint to do it, and give them false directions as to where he and the outlaws are. That should take care of things, for a while at least," she decided. She turned to the men. "Could you give me a signal or something, so that I know when you've found her?" she asked.

Carter nodded, taking in everything both Isabella and Allan were saying. They were thinking of a plan, but there it was precious time being wasted. "Good idea." he said, turning towards Isabella. She was good. "That should give us enough time to sneak into the castle undetected."
He turned back around to face Allan. "Ok, we'll look for Djaq together if you think thats best." he said seriously. "Besides, you know you're way around better than I do." Carter had spent some time in the castle, but not enough time as to know his way around.
At Isabella's mentioning of a signal, he scratched his blond hair in thought. "A distraction?" he echoed, pondering. "If there's some kind of ornement or something in the castle, maybe we could turn it round or change it subtly enough so that no-one but you would notice?" he asked both Isabella and Allan. He had no idea what kind of things there would be in the castle. "I mean we can't exactly waltz back up to you whilst you're with Guy, and tell you we've sorted the situation out." he said sarcastically.

Djaq ran through the streets of Nottingham, tears stinging her dark eyes. Her face had set into a contorted snarl, as she pumped her arms in order to gain speed. Shafiq was no longer with her. She had made a stop at Peter's house, and he had said he would look after him. She needed to do this, and she wouldn't definately not have Shafiq with her. She couldn't bare to lose someone else she loved.
She carried on, towards the Sheriff's castle. She had no plan, and was not thinking straight. But there was only one thing on her mind. Kill the Sheriff.

Isabella nodded at the man's suggestion. "There's a rug on the floor in front of the fireplace in the Great Hall," she replied, "If you turned the corner over, that could be the signal that you've Djaq." She was ready to go now, her hand almost on the doorhandle of the inn. There was no time to spare in talking any more. She gestured towards the door. "Shall we?"

Carter had lost all will to be a gentleman, and burst through the door rudely with no second thought. He elbowed a woman that was standing by the door. "Sorry!" he yelled as he broke into a run. On his way towards the castle.

Isabella followed him, running as fast as she could, trying to keep up. Her dress was already torn after her journey to the inn earlier, so she didn't really mind what happened to it now. Fear and apprehension bubbled inside her but she focused on racing to the castle with the two strangers, bathed in the eerie moonlight.

Allan took to his heels after Carter and Isabella. Djaq had left several minutes ago now, and she wasn't slow. They were going to have to do some pretty fancy footwork to catch her. The problem was, how would they know she'd actually entered the castle before them? If, by some quirk of fate, they arrived before Djaq, they'd be searching the castle for someone that wasn't there - an ideal way to get caught and captured themselves. And that "signal", well, how would Isabella be able to check the carpet had been moved without arousing suspicion?
"I can think of an easier way to tell that the job's been done," he panted as they pounded through the streets; "there's probably gonna be a bit of a ruckus as we leave anyway, to be honest. There'll be people on the gate, I expect. If you hear a shout for the guards going up, you can safely assume that we're on the way out."
[OOC: Should we move the action elsewhere? New thread?]

Isabella nodded at the suggestion, though she doubted anyone would notice it. They were running so fast that her whole body shook. "It makes sense, I agree," she said, "Though hopefully you won't get caught on the way out." She felt breathless but exhilarated at the action. If this was what being an outlaw was like, she liked it - or rather, the wild, irrational part of her did. She tried to focus on where she was going but everything seemed a blur. The sky bled into the streets, the men faded into the houses, and she felt alive, as if she was a young girl again, full of hope.
