Much trapsed through town with his head down low. A hood was covering his face, as he approached the Market. He needed to get extra supplies for his cooking requirements. Salt, pepper, a few essentials. As he approached the market stand, he cleared his throat and then began to speak. "Good evening good sir," he said in an unconvincingly low voice. "May I...purchase...some of your....items?"
Much was never good at going it alone. And he wanted to return to camp as quickly as possible.

He had been waiting in that market for at least two hours, maybe even three. Suprisingly, boredom hadn't got to him just yet. Quite happy, for the moment anyway, to watch the people wandering about the market, buying or selling various goods. His head turned slightly, to the sound of a vaguely familiar voice. His blue eyes rested on Much as he spoke to a merchant, narrowing slightly. After watching him for a few moments longer, he carefully weaved in and out of the people walking in front of him, apologising a couple of times when he jostled them. He tapped Much on the shoulder with his forefinger, before placing the same hand on his shoulder.
"If I might have a word?" he spoke the words quietly, before letting go of his shoulder and gesturing for him to follow.

Much handed over a few gold coins happily, and collected the goods from the seller. Everything had gone to plan, and he had not been recognised. A good days work, and he would not have to return to Nottingham for quite a while. He had enough supplies.
Much jumped as he felt a hand on his shoulder. Had someone recognised him? Was it one of the Sheriff's men, about to take him to be tortured or hanged? His heart rate speeded up and he swallowed turning around to face the man. It seemed he wanted to talk, something that one of the Sheriff's men would not likely do. With that in his mind, Much followed the mysterious man. His voice wasn't familiar to him, but then again Much didn't have the best memory. He couldn't properly see the man, since the massive hood he was wearing was covering Much's eyes. He was too scared to take his hood down for the time being.

He weaved through the rest of the crowd, heading for a quieter, less crowded area. Not because of the noise, but because of what he was going to talk to Much about. If that was overheard by a guard or supporter of the Sheriff, it could end rather badly. After taking a cautious glance around, he made sure Much had followed him, then spoke to him.
"Something tells me.. that you lot need all the help you can get.." His voice was low, his tone just as serious as his expression. "I know you're one of Robin Hood's outlaws, don't worry I won't turn you in. Quite the opposite actually.. I have an idea that might just help you all out. If you're interested that is."

Much was rather confused. He removed the hood from his face as they reached a quieter area, and looked curiously at the man. He had absolutely no idea who he was. Much was pretty sure he had never seen this man in his life. But this man seemed to know a little too much about him. "How do you kn-" asked Much, until he was interupted by the stranger. Much frowned. "Well, not meaning to be rude....but....I have no idea who you are." exclaimed Much, as quietly as he could in order to not attract too much attention.
"What makes me think you can help us? How do I know you're not actually a bad guy?" continued Much. His frown deepened as he tried to intimidate the man, with obviously no success. "And who even are you?" he said a little too loudly.

"Shh!" Ash frowned at him, hoping that his loudness hadn't attracted the attention of the patrolling guards. He didn't dare look though, just in case they were being watched. Carefully, with out making it too obvious, he moved his position slightly, so Much was blocked from their view. "I know because I listen. You're not exactly a secret around Nottingham, all the villages are talking about the famous Robin Hood and his outlaws."
He stopped talking for a moment, and dared an as casual as possible, glance in the guard's general direction. Much to his annoyance, they were indeed watching them and now approaching. He heaved a sigh of irritation and rolled his eyes, returning his gaze to Much. "I think we should run." he gestured with his head towards the guards rapidly approaching, pointing towards them as if confirming something.

"Run?" asked Much, confused. This man was very strange, and didn't seem to be making any sense. But as he turned around in the direction that the man had just gestured, he slumped. "Oh right. Run." he said half talking half wincing. This was just what he didn't need.
Much began to sprint. His sword and sheild clanged agains his hip as he ran. His long cloak billowed behind him, and he threw it off clumsily. The result was it flapping into of the guards, and him being tangled up by brown material. Much laughed as he turned around and watched the man squirm, but that was not the last of it. Three more soldier emerged from behind the guard, and Much groaned. As he turned round, he collided into another set of guards. "Gaaah!" he screamed as he blocked a blow with his shield.

Ash instantly followed Much, his left hand moving automatically to the hilt of the sword across his back. He didn't draw it just yet though, waiting until he got close enough. A smirk of amusement crossed his face as Much's cloak hindered the guard. A look of concentration was now on his face, his blue eyes fixed on the guards ahead of them. Drawing his sword, he raised it above his head and with a rather angry yell, charged towards the guards in front of Much. His sword connected with a guard's the force of Ash's charge had made him stumble a bit, giving him opening enough to drive his blade through the guard's stomach.

ducked the blade of another guard, and returned the favour by giving him a hard side kick to the stomach. The guard doubled over, crashing into another guard in the process. Much grinned and laughed a loud victorious laugh.
His attention turned to Ash, who had already fought off a number of guards. Much nodded in approval, just before spinning around to find another guard charging towards him. He grumbled in annoyance and attempted to block the guards sword. The two fought for a while, before Much found his sword flying through the air. He gasped and slid across the dusty ground in a frantic attempt to get to his sword. The guard was already in hot pursuit of the unarmed Much as he scrambled around.

He deflected another sword blow, and kicked the now unbalanced guard in the stomach, sending him crashing to the ground. Another leapt over the daze guard on the floor, aiming a blow towards Ash's throat. He took a step back to dodge it and locked his sword with the guard's. His attention was eventually caught by Much scrambling for his sword, with a grumble of frustration, he quickly dispatched the guard he was already fighting and went to his aid. A split second decision made him shoulder barge straight into the pursuing guard, sending him crashing to the floor.
"Go! Run!" he yelled to Much, turning round again to delay the guards further.

Much picked up his sword from the ground, and turned around to see the mysterious man barge straight into the soldier that was pursuing him. Much watched in amazement and then quickly got up from off the ground. He started running but his path was blocked by another guard.
"For gods sake!" Much cried as he smashed his shield into the guards face, causing him to topple over. He crumpled at Much's feet, and he turned around beaming. The floor was ridden with sprawling guards, each moaning in pain. Much put his hands on his hips and smiled lopsidedly at the stranger. "So I never quite found out your name." he said with a laugh.

Ash finally turned round to face Much, once he was satisfied those guards wouldn't be getting up any time soon. He returned his sword to its scabbard and folded his arms, returning his smile.
"Ash, Ash Wolfe." he said, his tone calm and friendly.
A complete contrast to how angry he had seemed in the fight. He had to admit, that was quite fun. Though the guards didn't really put up much of a fight.. Shame..

Much couldn't help but laugh. "Ash Wolfe? What kind of a name is that?" He soon shut up after he realised his name was Much.
"So you want to help us?" he said, walking back over to Ash, climbing over a sprawling body. "Why?" he scratched his head and squinted as the sun shone in his eyes. Remembering that there would probably be more guards on the way Much said, "C'mon, we better get out of here"
As soon as they were in a quiet secluded place, Much turned to face Ash again. "So, tell me what you're planning on doing." Much couldn't help but trust this man. What had just happened had a lot to do with it. But he still knew he had to be carefull. This event was very familiar, the same had happened with Carter when he was trying to trick them. Much decided he wouldn't reveal anything more about the gang to Ash, and just waited to here what he had to say.

He simply rolled his eyes, a smirk crossing his face at Much's remark. It wasn't the first time he'd heard it, wasn't even one of the first five. His mouth opened to give him an answer, but the announcement of more guards stopped him for the moment. Once they were safely hidden, he took another glance around, listening for anyone approaching. Waiting around another minute before finally getting round to answer Much.
"Yes, i want to help you. What the Sheriff and Gisbourne are doing is unbelievable. I know I haven't been here long, at least not recently. I come from Locksley though." his mind wandered for a moment, his expression turning thoughtful before he got back to his point, "If I can convince Gisbourne that I am on his side, if I can convince him to let me into his service, then i'll be closer to the action. I can give you the information you need, help you get into the castle undetected, that kind of thing."
He stopped there for the moment, waiting for Much's reaction to that. If he believed him, then they could start working on a plan. If he didn't, then he would simply leave for the moment, and help out in different ways.

Much blinked at Ash's proposal. It would definately be an advantage to the outlaws, if this man's intentions where true. Using Ash to be able to get into the castle would be wonderful, and would make life so much easier. Much nodded. He had never been good at decision making, he always left those kind of things up to Robin. But hopefully this man was telling the truth. He couldn't see the harm in letting him get on with it. Much hadn't shown Ash the camp, and hadn't told him anything about the outlaws. So he couldn't really tell the Sheriff anything.
Much grinned and looked back up at Ash. "Well I'd have to check with Robin , and the rest of the gang, but I think it should be fine!" Much held out his hand. "You know you're putting yourself in serious danger?" he asked frowning. If the Sheriff caught Ash helping the Outlaws, he would be a gonner for sure.
