Rosetta sat in the streets crying. In a few day she would be married. To a sly and evil being. She sighed. She had to go through with it. She didn't love the Prince like she loved Allan but it had to be done. She stood up. She would have to run away. But she needed to see Allan and the other Outlaws first.

Sister Magdalene had been visiting the poorer families at the edge of Nottingham. Now, with an empty basket, she was picking her way through the crowded streets on her way back to the Priory House. The sound of sobbing brought Mags up short and she looked around.
A tearful woman stood not far away from her. Magdalene frowned. She recognised her, surely? Taking a step towards the weeping woman, the good Sister finally realised where she'd seen her before and approached Rosetta. "What is wrong, my Child?" Magdalene asked sympathetically. "Is there anything I can help you with?"

"Nothing you wont help a witch." said Rosetta walking away. She didn't want any help. The problem was obvious. Her marriage to Prince John.

For the first time in a long age, Magdalene felt anger. She took a couple of breaths, trying to calm herself. Honestly, there was no helping some people sometimes! The good Sister was of the opinion that the Lady was acting like a spoilt brat and she needed her backside paddled.
"Its difficult to help those who won't help themselves," Sister Mags whispered to herself then, with a shrug of her shoulders, she turned and walked on towards the Priory House. If she were troubled by Rosetta's attitude, Magdalene had it under control now. She would go to the Chapel and pray for the child. It was the least she could do.

Allan stumbled over the threshold of the Inn, head swimming. It was a little too early in the afternoon to be drinking really, but it was a quiet day, and around Nottingham there'd been precious few of those. So he'd popped in on his way past, just for a friendly game of dice.
A proper one this time, too. Not his scam with the loaded dice, but fair ones. Tricking money was fun, but it didn't beat the rush of a game of pure chance. And Lady Luck had been on his side today, too. He'd been able to afford to good mead, the stuff that didn't have the bitter aftertaste and the splitting headache the following morning.
A black shape swept past him, muttering. He squinted. Was that a wimple? Too late now; whoever it was was already past and on their way. He turned his attention back towards where he'd initially intended to go.
Rosetta sat on the cobbles, crumpled and sobbing. He shook his head, trying to clear his vision, and walked unsteadily towards her. He knelt by her feet and lifted her chin.
"What's this then?" he asked, glancing around to make sure no-one of note saw an outlaw socialising with Rosetta. "A lady like you can't sit weeping in the street."
