A talk with Marian

[Alexis Bailey]

*Alexis stood in the courtyard waiting for Marian to arrive*

[Marian]

Marian was shocked that moments after being so nice, Gisborne could be so cruel. Hanging a little boy, for stealing probably because he was starving? That was the Gisborne she knew and despised; then he wondered why she didn't like him!

She didn't know the woman she walked past, and didn't really pay any attention to her. She had to get a message to Robin, somehow - or get Guy to postpone the hanging.

[Alexis Bailey]

*sees Marian walk past her and runs up to her so she's walking next to her*

Lady Marian, can I talk to you?

[Marian]

She looked towards the woman, then back at the gallows in a distracted manner. With a sigh, she turned back to Alexis. "Certainly." SHe answered, but continued to walk.

"Do I know you?" She asked, wondering what on earth she wanted to talk to her about.

[Alexis Bailey]

I need to talk to you, about.. Guy

*she looked at Marian*

[Marian]

"Alexis. Right." She wasn't paying much attention, it was true; she was worried about the boy about to hang!

When Guy's name was mentioned, she turned back to face her. What had he done now? And why did people think she cared? "Gisborne? What's he done?"

She only cared if he'd done something to hurt someone...but then that was normal for him.

[Alexis Bailey]

I don't know how to put this..
*looks a bit nervous*
Why don't you go back to him? I mean he's got money, he's powerful and he has feelings for you..

*thinking, what will she do if this doesn't work?*

[Marian]

"Who are you?" She asked, quite annoyed, "More importantly, who do you think you are? Has Gisborne asked you to find me and persuade me to go back to him?" She sighed, annoyed that someone would stick there nose into someone elses business like that.

"Maybe because I have no feelings for him? Or because he is cruel? Or because it's none of your business?"

Assuming this was a plot of Guy's, it was a very stupid one. She just despised him more. "Leave me alone. Please." She added, walking on coolly.

[Alexis Bailey]

She looked even more nervous now than she was before, Guy would find out she'd failed, what would he do?

"Marian wait!" she called after her.

[Marian]

"What?" She snapped back, whirling around to face Alexis. She was commonly believed to be a quiet, calm young lady, but Marian could be fiery as hell! Especially when she was annoyed; right now she was annoyed with this girl and Gisborne.

[Marian]

"What?!" She repeated, stopping and waiting for the woman to tell her what she wanted, so that she could get on with what she had to do.

[Alexis Bailey]

"I'm sorry for the intrusion, it really is none of my business. " she said, "Guy said if I didn't persuade you to love him again he would fine an excuse to hang me... I didn't know what to do i'm sorry.."

[Marian]

She sighed; "Why didn't you say?" She asked. She had been annoyed with Alexis for the intrusion, but it was the kind of low-life thing Guy would do.

"What an idiot..." She tried to think of a possible solution, but hadn't a clue. "Look...I'll sort this out, don't worry. Just..." She pulled out a cloak she kept hidden for disguising herself. "Put this on...and don't let Gisborne see you. Let me deal with this hanging, then I'll stop yours..."

[Alexis Bailey]

Alexis took the cloak, relieved and grateful that Marian would help her.

"Thank you."
