Gary and Djaq - captured

[Will Scarlett]

Will looked down at her limp, almost lifeless body and forced a sad smile onto his face. He leant over and kissed her gently on the forehead, before getting up and walking over to Gary to give him the herbs. Gary was still breathing, and he had a strong pulse, other than that though, he seemed fairly lifeless. Will didn't know what the herbs were meant to do, but he knew that they didn't have much time. Any moment now, someone could find them, and they would be killed... hanged maybe... or maybe killed right there on the spot. All Will knew was, that they had to escape, but he couldn't carry both of them... should he save one of them... or stay here with them both?
He walked back over to Djaq and sat down beside her. "Djaq?" he said slowly trying to sound brave, even though inside he was a nervous wreck. "Djaq..." he said again "... we need to get out of here, but I can't carry you both..." he looked at her helplessly "... I don't know what to do..."

[Djaq]

She opened her eyes and nodded slowly. She knew this was going to happen. "Will," she whispered, reaching out for his hand and clasping it with both of hers. "I want you to help Gary," she said quietly, but bravely. "And then I want you to leave me." She took a deep breath and carried on. "You can help Gary, and then carry him out. I'll be fine..." she said fake smiling. All her movements and actions were slow, as if she had no life left in her. "Please Will..."

"Djaq... don't ask me to leave you..." he looked deep into her eyes "... I won't leave you..." he looked at the floor "... I can't leave you..." he tried to hold back his tears. He was a man, he shouldn't cry, he had to be strong for her... but he couldn't... "Djaq, my love, I would never leave you, I would never be able to, I just wouldn't be able to find it within myself to do so..." he said as he and held her hands in his tightly. "So..." he said and took a deep breath "... we are just going to have to find a different way out... one that dosnt include me leaving you..."

[Djaq]

Djaq sobbed happily and brought him closer to her. She slowly put her arms around him and hugged him, she didn't care about the searing pain, she just cared about Will. She pulled away and looked into his eyes crying. She saw that his were wet too and wiped away the tears from his eyes. "I love you Will Scarlett..." she whispered and kissed him, one hand on the back of his head, and the other on his cheek. She backed away slowly smiling. "Lets get out then."

Will took a deep breath and sat up a bit straighter. "Sounds good to me" he said smiling lovingly at her "so um... do you have a plan... cos well... I don't..." he looked over a Gary "How long until those herbs kick in? Will he be able to walk, because I won't be able to carry him as well as you..." he trailed off trying to think of a solution, but still holding onto Djaqs hand protectivly and lovingly.

[Djaq]

Djaq couldn't think straight. In her mind was a mixture of searing pain and overwhelming love for Will. She leaned backwards and breathed heavily. "The herbs...should start working...soon..." she breathed. "He should...be awake soon..." She clutched her rib again. "I don't know...i don't know what to do..."

[Will Scarlett]

He saw that she was getting upset again, and that she was in a lot of pain. He gently took her head and rested it in his lap, so it wasn't on the cold hard dungeon floor and comforted her slowly and gently "ssshhh..." he said almost in a whisper "don't worry... I'll find way out... it's gunna be ok..." he looked at her and saw how much pain she was in "is there anything I can do to help the pain?"

[Djaq]

"Well, I do have Zhongal potion...It soothes pain..." she stopped there. He did not need to know the rest. "Do you think I should give that a try..." she said, slowly pulling out a small bottle from her belt without looking. The liquid was black, and had a picture of a skull and crossbones on it.

[Will Scarlett]

Will stared at her open mouthed and shook his head in horror "No..." he started to shake again "no... Djaq... no... don't.... there must be something else..." he trailed off his mind a mess. Was she really considereing drinking that potion? Was she in enough pain to want to do that? "Djaq... please... there must be something else?" he stared at her in desparation.

[Djaq]

"Don't worry..." said Djaq smiling weakly. "It's not poison..." she looked at the bottle. "It soothes pain, and after a while...it makes you feel....well...considerably worse..." she stared at the potion for a while and then at Will. He looked at her desparately and she rested one hand on his chest. "If I drink this...I will feel better, for about half an hour...and then...and then....the contrary." she said sadly. "Please, If I drink this, we can escape...together" She looked up at Will again and gazed into his eyes. "Will, I love you...and i don't want to leave you...if i drink this potion, then i don't have to..."

[Will Scarlett]

Will looked into her eyes sadly for a long time, and after a while, slowly nodded his head "But only if you're sure you want to..." He gently moved her up ino to a sort of slumped over sitting position so she was reseting in his arms and he helped her bring the small bottle up to her lips before pausing "Are you sure this is what you want to do? We can still get out of here even if you don't take it..." he looked at her waiting reply worridly.

[Djaq]

"I really doubt that somehow..." she said looking at Will sadly. "This is the only way..." she gazed into his eyes and a tear trickled down her cheek. She knew of the unbearable pain that would come after she had taken this potion, but she just needed to see Will safe. She knew he wouldn't leave her, so it had to be done.

Will helped her bring the potion to her lips and she drank. After a few seconds, she leaped up and dragged him out of the cell. "Come on!"

Will, surprised at how quickly the potion worked stood up and looked deep into her eyes and mouthed "I love you" before turning away and walking over to Gary who was making strange groaning noises. He looked back over at Djaq "What shall we do with him?"

[Djaq]

"You carry him..." she said urgently. "I'll take out any guards that come to our path." she said briskly walking up to Gary and just double checking everything was alright. The speedily wrapped a bandage around his head, and tyed it into a neat bow and then walked quickly back out, drawing her sword. "We don't have much time. We need to move, and fast."

[Will Scarlett]

He leant down and picked Gary up and heaved him over his shoulder. Gary was not a big man, but then again, neither was Will, but never the less, he managed to get him over his shoulder and started to make his way towards the exit of the dungeons.
"You sure you're feeling ok now?" he asked Djaq nervously, he was happy to see her so energetic and lively, but he could only start to imagine the horrors of what were to follow...
