As the dust cleared five figures could be seen stood in the desert. It had been a long journey and at last they were here - the Holy Lands. Why? Well, it was only a small mission, save England, save the King, save Marian. Not a difficult task at all...
The heart, dust, sand and sights brought back some dreadful memories to Robin and Much. For Djaq there must have been some effect, but none of the others had ever been here, ever witnessed the horrors that these Crusades held. With a deep breath, they made their way across the Desert.
"Right. We need to find the King, and warn him of the Sheriff's plan. Then we need to find Marian - and try to get the Sheriff to the King. See what he thinks of his antics."
He paused, "Any ideas on how we find the King's camp?"

Djaq shook her head and she glanced across the desert. There was nothing for miles around. She kicked the ground and a misty swirl of sand flowed through the air. She sneezed. She didn't know if it was a good or bad thing that she was back home, but she was filled with slight satisfaction. It had been a long time since she had gazed apon the glistening stars or beautiful sunset of the Holyland.
"I know what we could do..." said Djaq perking up. "We could visit my uncle, Basaam? Remember? The Pidgeon Man?" she looked at the rest of the gang, and they nodded. "He should know..." she smiled, she had not seen her dear old uncle for quite a while, and no doubt he would be supprised to see her. And her knew boyish look and strange, extremely un-islamic hairstyle. She brushed it back into shape briefly and shrugged. He'd just have to deal with it.

He was hoping for some input from Djaq, for he didn't have a clue how to find the Kings camp. When he was last here, those who they could ask for help were the enemy - and in turn they were the enemy to those whose land it was originally. He grinned slightly, although the situation was hardly a happy one, and nodded in agreement with Djaqs plan.
"That sounds like a good idea. Will he know where to go?" If he was a relative of Djaqs, that should mean that he wouldn't turn away the other 'enemies' - for they needed his help. "Do you know where he lives, Djaq?" He was willing for her to take the lead; afterall, this was her homeland - she knew what she was doing more than he did, and where they were going.
"We might as well get moving then." He muttered, as he thought of Marian, in trouble, and the need to rescue her.

Djaq grinned. "Yes, I think I remember where he lives..." she said scratching her head. Her mind whizzed as she remembered Basaams house. The soft coo-ing or pigeons, and the happy laughter of her and her family. She smiled and then snapped out of her trance. "This way!" she said promptly and marched through the sand into complete nothingness. But she was sure the gang had confidence in her.
The great thing about the Gang was, that the fact they were on deaths doorstep just a little while ago, excluding the long and perilous journey to the Holy land, had completely strayed from their minds. They were almost definitely going to die, but they didn't. Forget it, and move on. They were used to it by now.
After a long hard trek through the desert, they reached the Holy land town. Djaq sighed and smiled with a sense of achievement beaming off her. She put her hands on her hips, her legs slightly apart, and breathed in long and hard. "Here we are!" she grinned. She pointed at a massive, beautiful palace that could be seen, even in this great distance. "Thats his house." she said casually, ignoring the open mouthes and raising eyebrows of her fellow outlaws. After a few seconds pause, she strode down the hill the outlaws were perched on top, as if they had not just trekked miles across a scorching desert.

Will followed after her, down the hill towards the village, and towards the palace that was Basaam's home. He had never expected somebody that looked after pigeons for a living would have such a beautiful and spectacular home. It was still a long way away from them, but even at this distance, it was obviously an amazing building, and Will, as would any carpenter, was very eager to be able to get up close to it and have a proper look at it's architecture.
As they continued towards the village, Will looked over at Djaq, who he had now caught up with, and was walking next to her. It must be strange for her, he thought to himself, being away from her homeland for so long, and now returning with a load of English men, who, just a few years ago, she would have thought of as the enemy. He looked at the slightly confused expression on her face, and he was unsure of whether she was happy to be back on not. He moved a little closer to her as they walked and asked quietly "You pleased to be home?"

Djaq continued moving forewards and smiled awkwardly. "Well, i guess....erm...not really...but i am!...not..." Djaq frowned and looked at Will "I don't know, I'm really not sure..." she said confused. "But I'm not going to make a fuss, we have more pressing things to worry about." she said firmly, "such as, saving Marian, saving the King, saving....England..." she said, the seriousness of the matter suddenly dawning on her. She massaged her temple, shaking her head, and walked forewards briskly so that she was back at the front of the march.

Will nodded at her confused reply. It didn't make much sense, but in a strange way it did, and Will wasn't going to trouble her by asking any more questions right at this very moment. As she had said, they had more important things to be getting on with, saving Marian, saving the King, saving England.
They continued to walk for a while, and before long, they had reached the entrance of the small town. Will looked over at Djaq and whispered quietly, "What now?"

Being back in the HolyLand just brought back painful memories for Much and Robin, apart from being back then they realised it was home for Djaq. Much started moaning about the heat and what memories he and Robin had shared whilst being in the holylands. as they walked across the desert much started talking about what they had seen and they needed to find away to get them selves to the king and to have a plan to find marian to.
much wanted to be safe and make sure the king of England was safe and the sherif didnt rule any more but he then thought if the sherif doesnt live neither does nottingham.

They followed Djaq, who was at the head of the march, straight to Basaam's house. Although there was a little discussion at the door which suggested Basaam might not be too pleased to help this group of 'enemies' - but once he knew they were friends of Djaq's, he welcomed them in.

After a pleasant time, considering the circumstances, at Basaam's, Robin insisted they must leave. He was worried about Marian, and they had to get going if they were to find her - night was already falling. "Right then. We know where we're going - lets head in the direction Basaam said. We find the King..." They murmered on, not realising Marian was in a room, chained to the wall, and could hear their voices faintly - although she assumed she must be imagining them...

Before long, they were well on their way to the kings camp, and it was now visible against the yellow sand and blue sky that stretched as far as the eye could see.
****
Once inside the camp, Robin took charge, leading the way towards the Kings tent, which is where they had assumed he would be. It was very busy, and it seemed that nearly all of the army was at the camp that day, all hurrying about doing all that they needed to get done. It was all very alien to Will, as, unlike Robin and Much, being in Robin's gang was the closest thing that he had ever experienced to being in a proper army like the one who's camp they were currently walking through. Will heard someone call out Robin's name and looked up slightly startled, but soon relaxed after seeing the familiar face that was the owner of the voice. "Carter!" the gang shouted s the rushed towards him, greeting their friend.

James Robert Carter strode through the sandy grounds of the Kings Camp, his hand resting on his sword hilt. He took a deep breath in and looked around him smiling contentedly. Life was good. He could now live at peace with his brothers passing, and had moved on. It was difficult, but he had tried.
As he thought of his brother, he thought of Robin Hood. He was the man that had made Carter come to his senses, and even though he only met with Robin briefly, he looked back on him, classifying him as a very dear friend. As he looked around the camp, his eyes fell on a small figure with short, black, slightly sticky-up hair. He laughed awkwardly to himself. That looks awfully like the Saracen girl....that....was.....
Carters brain froze as he saw Robins gang, looking about them, rather confused. When he finally realized what he was seeing, he almost jumped out of his skin. He flew over to the gang, and waved his hands in the air. "Robin!" he exclaimed, tripping over himself, not believing what he was seeing. As he reached the gang, who looked just as surprised as he did, he beamed at them. He whacked Robin solidly on the back in the way good friends greet. "What...are...you...doing here?" he asked. "I thought I had seen the last of you Robin Hood!"

Much looks confused about what Carter is doing there, he then realises what they are doing there. they knew that they had a mission to complete and Robin was desperate to find Marian and they knew they had to stop the sherifs plan to kill the king of England. soon they reached their destination, with Djaq leading the gang to her uncles house

"Carter!" He exclaimed, his face breaking out into a smile, allowing himself to forget for just a moment the reasons they were there, as he greeted his old friend. "You don't get rid of me that easily!" He grinned, before allowing his face to settle back into a serious look. "We're here to talk to the King. You've told the king, of the Sheriff's plot?" He asked, as the last time the two had seen each other, Carter had promised to inform the King of his plans. "Am I glad to see you; it means we're actually in the right place!"
As they were brought before the King, Robin fell to his knee and bowed in front of the King. "You're majesty..." He murmured, keeping his head bowed as a sign of respect until the King spoke to him.
* * * * * * * * * * * * * *
After a mere ten minutes with the King, they were being dragged away, their hands tied, in the direction of the open desert. "We're not traitors!" He shouted, "The Sheriff, he plans to kill you. I tell you, your Majesty, what you have heard is lies!" The King answered solemnly; "God will decide."

Water...
Shade...
Water...
Djaq...
Water...
All that Will could think about, water, shade... and Djaq... and water... he needed water so much... but he needed Djaq even more...
The outlaws were hanging, each suspended by two logs, in the middle of the desert, in the boiling hot sun that was beating down on them. It would have been hard for anyone to stay in these conditions, but for Will, a young man from England who got sunburnt very easily, this was completely unbearable, but even so, it was not him that he was thinking of, he was thinking of his love, Djaq.
He could not see her as she was hung up directly behind him, but he could hear her breathing in the silence and tranquility of the desert. He wished with all his heart that he could hold her in his arms right here, right now, and that they were able to be together in safety, not hung up in the desert left to die.
"I'm so sorry my love... I should have made you stay at Basaam's..." he stammered, finding it hard to breath in the heat of the desert.

Having been tied up in the horrendous heat, the King and his men had left the Outlaws in the desert. This was supposedly a fair trial; if God knew them to be innocent, he would let them go. But Robin knew them to be innocent of the crimes they were supposed to have committed, and somehow he was seeing his chances of getting out of this as very high. "Today...is a good day to die." He murmured, looking over at Little John. That was what he always said, wasn't it? Now it came to it, did he still believe it though? That was the question.
There - in the distance. That was someone walking towards them, wasn't it? Or was he just imagining it? "Look - look, over there. Is that -" If he hadn't been tied up he would have shielded his eyes from the sun so that he could see better, but alas, that was impossible. "Isn't that someone, walking towards us?"
It was, he knew it, and was amazed at there luck - until he saw the faces of those walking towards them. The Sheriff. Gisborne. And - Marian. He sighed sorrowfully, as the outlaws gazed in the direction of the three coming towards them. Robin, Much, Will, Djaq, Little John, Allan and now Marian; having to resign themselves to a traitors death.
