Making Decorations

[Allan A Dale]

Allan looked at the ground, stung by Will's harsh words "I never let them hurt you, I never revealed where the camp was, you don't know my reasons..." he looked at Djaq then to Katerina "Forget who's side im on, I only came out here to warn you that the Sheriff will get suspicious..." he stared at Will and his blue eyes became cold and clouded "Look just forget it, do what you want just dont expect me to offer my help when you never accept it..." He went to mount his horse and lingered, hand on the saddle "Don't you know that I regret it" he said softly and looked at Will "you were my brother..." he swung up into the saddle.

[Lady Katerina]

Katerina felt a pang of sympathy in her heart as she looked at this man "I don't think a man who meant the betrayal talks like that..." she said just loud enough to hear, she turned to Djaq "Where is Robin? I need to talk to him then get back to Nottingham, he is right you know... I will have raised suspicions..." She turned to Allan and smiled "Thankyou for your warning, and for your care".

[Djaq]

Djaq looked up at Allan sadly. She looked at Will who was glaring at him menicingly and sighed. She just wished they could put all this behind them. She still remembered the time that Allan approached her for advice, affraid that he had done something terribly wrong, and was sorry. And she still believed him. To this day he had not told Guy or the Sheriff the location of the camp, or that much about the Outlaws at all. "Allan!" she called out and he twisted himself around to look at her. "Never mind." she said and carried on looking at the ground.

As Katerina turned to face her, Djaq brought her heard back up again to look at her. She had heard her and Wills conversation, and had heard that she had tended Robin in times of need. A fellow physician perhaps. She smiled slightly and then looked at Will. "He could be anywhere..." she said smiling. "A man like Robin, could be absolutely anywhere." She looked at Will again. "But Camp would be a good place to start." The look on her face told Will, that she would not take her directly to camp, but perhaps a little way off, and ask Robin of his opinion, similar to what she had done with Gary.

[Will Scarlett]

Will looked at Djaq and nodded. "Okay... but we ought to warn Robin first..." he trailed off "... we don't want any trouble..." he paused and thought for a moment "How about, we'll speak to him tonight, and then at midday tomorrow, you come back to this very spot, and he'll meet you and talk with you..." he looked at them and they nodded, turned and left.

[Djaq]

Djaq watched as Katerina and Allan left and kept her eyes upon them until they disappeared into the trees. She sighed and then walked back over to her log, sat down, and picked up the decoration she had previously dropped on the floor. She blew away the dust and started painting again, silently. There was only one decoration left, and the party was very, very soon.

[Will Scarlett]

Will walked over to her and sat down on the floor beside her log and stared at the tree towering before them. "What shall I do now do you think?" he asked turing to Djaq and watched her concentration as she painted.

[Djaq]

"Well..." Djaq said as she finished the last smear of paint needed for that decoration and placed it down on the floor with the others. "You can string the remaining ones...and then we can go hang them up!" she said smiling. She picked up the last decoration, which was in a heart shape, and then painted it red.

After no time at all, Will had finished stringing all the decorartions, and Djaq was putting the finishing touches to the last decoration. When she decided it was good enough, she tapped Will on the shoulder and he turned around. She handed the heart to him smiling. "William, I give my heart to you..." she sighed, gazing into his eyes.

Will gazed back into her eyes smiling lovingly at her "I will treasure it forever" he closed his hand around the heart and gave her a loving hug "And give mine to you too Saffiya" he stopped and broke away, "Do you mind me calling you Saffiya, cos I won't if you don't want me too but if you dont mind... cos I tihnk it's a really beautiful name..." he said trailing off.

[Djaq]

Djaq laughed at Wills concern and hugged him again. "I don't care what you call me, as long as you're with me..." she said quietly, smiling. She must be the luckiest woman alive right now...in the arms of a man that she loved with all her heart. She hugged him tighter. "I don't want to ever leave your embrace..." she said closing her eyes. "But I'm afraid I'm going to have to. Those decorations won't put themselves up!"

[Will Scarlett]

He smiled and broke away from the hug. "You're right..." he said sadly "... but you won't be able to reach to put the ones on at the top..." he grinned and indicated for her to get on his back and have a piggy back so she could reach higher "Come on! On you get! As you say, they ain't gunna put themselves on that tree" he grinned at her.

[Djaq]

Djaq giggled and picked up a few of the decorations. "I'm afraid its the only way!" she said shaking her head. "So much to my dissaproval, I am going to have to ride on your back." she laughed and hopped on his back. She squeeled excitedly. "Oh my gosh...i'm going to fall!" She clung on to the decorations trying to balance.

[Will Scarlett]

He laughed "I wouldn't let you fall would I?" he said as he playfully wobbled about making it harder for her to keep her balance, but at the same time, being very careful that he didn't drop her. He laughed again and jogged over to the tree with her on his back still wobbleing around making it difficult for her to remain upright.

[Djaq]

Djaq tried her best to keep balance. "Will! Are you trying to kill me?!" she asked laughing. As they approached the tree, she hung up a few decorations. "Very nice!" she said smiling. "But I need to get abit higher. "Maybe...If we called Gary back...you could get on his back, whilst i'm on your back, and then we could get pretty high!" she said laughing.

Will laughed "Very funny, but somehow I think not" he grinned, "Come on, if you sit on my shoulders then you'll get higher than you already are... or we could climb up it again..." he twisted his head round and looked up at her "Watcha think?"

[Djaq]

There were now decorations nicely evenly placed on the bottom bit of the tree, along with the middle bit. "Alright then..." said Djaq uncertainly. "But you must promise not to wobble me from up there..." she said laughing. "Its scary Will!" she said, hugged on to him from his back.
