Making Decorations

[Will Scarlett]

Will smiled at her as she disapeared off amongst the trees, and then got back to making his star.
He whistled as he worked and after quite some time, the star had taken shape. He polished it up using his shirt, getting rid of the splinters in it and then set to work on the next part of this star. This was the part that he hadn't told Djaq about, this part was the surprise. He got the tip of his knife, and very carefully engraved the words 'Saffiya & William Forever" onto one side of the star. The tree was so tall that when the star was on top of it, no-one would be able to tell what was written on it. Will gave it another quick polish, and then set to work on his next decoration. This next one was going to be a little wooden robin.
As the time passed by he created more and more little decorations ready for Djaq to paint when she returned.

[Djaq]

After quite a long time, Djaq ran back into the clearing panting. "Sorry..." she said sitting down beside Will. She dropped the many pots she was holding gently on the ground, each one filled with a different colour. "...I got attacked by a badger." she said bluntly. At the look on Wills face, she laughed. "No..no i didn't. There was an injured Robin by the river." she said sadly. "I helped him, and he should be fine though..." she said happily. She picked up the star and examined it quickly. "Nice work...I'm impressed!" she said nodded her head in approval and smiling. "What colour do you want it?" she asked.

[Will Scarlett]

Will smiled lovingly at her. She was holding it the wrong way round to be able to see what he had written on it "Paint it whichever colour you want... but before you do, turn it over..." he said slowly and quiety, looking at her intently, hoping that she still approved after she saw what was on the other side.

[Djaq]

Djaq smiled at Will excitedly. "What have you done..." she turned the star over slowly, almost scared of what she might find. When she read the message, she gasped.
Saffiya & William Forever
"Oh my goodness Will," she said quietly, her eyes sparkling. She was finding it hard to speak, she couldn't think of anything to say. Speachless. "Oh my goodness..." She turned around to look at Will. "I love you so much William Scarlett..." she said, throwing the star aside and throwing her arms around him.

[Will Scarlett]

Will caught her and spun her around his face beaming with happiness. "I love you too Saffiya, but as much as I love you, that took me a long time to make and then you just go throwing it on the floor" he said indicating at the star lying on the floor pretending to be really hurt and upset in a playful over the top sort of way.

[Djaq]

"I'm sorry..." said Djaq releasing him and picking up the star. "What colour?"

[Will Scarlett]

He smiled at her lovingly... "Hey, don't worry about it... what colour? Which ever you want, I make, you paint! You can decide!" he said as he walked over to her and put his arms back around her.

[Djaq]

She snuggled into Will and sighed happily. "I think yellow should be fine..." Suddenly, she groaned. "I need a brush." she said getting up tiredly. "Hang on, I'll be right back again, I'm sure there will be one at camp somewhere!" she ran off sighing.

[Will Scarlett]

Will smiled and then went back to sit on his log awaiting Djaq's return. He picked up another piece of wood and started chipping away idely at it, not thinking about what he was doing, as his mind was much to full of thoughts about him and Djaq...

[Gary Taylor]

By coincedence, as Djaq left, Gary ran in from the opposite side of the clearing. He was holding a very long coil of rope, held around his right arm. He walked up to Will and the decorations.

"Hey Will," he said. "I hope this is ok." He put the rope on the ground. "I found this big heap of thrown-out stuff near the outskirts of the forest and there was this rope in there. There's this thick rope," he kicked it with his foot. "And..." he searched in his pocket, "I found this, smaller, more delicate string stuff, which I thought you might want for decorations. Hanging them on the tree and stuff." He got out the ball of string/rope. "Where's Djaq?"

[Will Scarlett]

"Oh um..." started Will, discretely trying to hide the star from Gary's view. "...oh, she's gone to get a brush to paint the decorations with... and thanks for the rope, and string!" he smiled at him. "She should be back soon..."

[Gary Taylor]

Gary moved his smile into a still-smiling frown instead. How uncharacteristic of Will to be stuttery and... self concious?!
Well, Gary didn't mention it. "Okay..."He did sometimes worry that Will and himself didn't get on very well after their... problem in the early stages of knowing eachother.

[Djaq]

((Gary don't even know that my name is Saffiya, I don't think...heh))

Djaq burst into the scene holding a few brushes. "God, It's hectic in camp, Much is burning the place down with his over cooking," she said, sitting down heavily on the log beside Gary "Alexis and Robin are in there, talking about God knows what, ignoring the fact that Much is running around practically on fire, and John is yelling his head off, i don't even know who at!" she said loudly, before calming down, and dipping a paint brush into the yellow pot. She turned around to see Gary looked puzzled. "Oh...hello." she said quickly and then grabbed the star from behind Will, where he was trying to hide it, and started to paint.

[Will Scarlett]

Will chuckled quietly at the thought of what was going on in camp at the moment and then turned to face the other two, "So um... do you think we should put the tree up or finish the decorations first?"

[Gary Taylor]

Gary smiled as at Djaq as she walked back into the clearing. Then as a reply to Will, he said, "Oh I don't know, maybe we should..." He looked at the star carving Djaq was painting, and looking at it saw...
Saffiya & William Forever? Will must've carved that... meaning 'William' was him... But then who was Saffiya? And why didn't Djaq care that Will wanted to be this 'Saffiya' forever?!
His eyes widened at the star. "What...? Why does it say... on the star?" He looked wide eyed at Will.
