Making Decorations

[Will Scarlett]

"Hey I never said you couldn't help!" said Will in his defense as they struggled along pulling the tree behind them. "Where bouts is this going? The middle of the clearing?"

[Gary Taylor]

They all managed to make their way to the centre of the clearing. With a bit of difficulty, they made it stand up, but only with them all holding it, if they let go it would fall. "Now what?" Gary asked

[Djaq]

"Maybe we should have thought this through a little bit more..." said Djaq, biting her lip. It was quite comical, three people standing in very strange possitions, holding up a fir tree, and if any one of them made the slightest move, it might come crashing down on another.

((the tree isnt THAT big surely! but sorry for the stupid post, just trying to get things moving! ))

[Will Scarlett]

"Um..." said Will trying not laugh. He knew that this wasn't a laughing matter, but it was funny. "So... we're stuck here then?" he asked looking at the two faces either side of him... "Dosn't look like any of us are going anywhere in a hurry does it?" then turned more serious. "We don't even have any rope do we?" he asked before laughing "God, we're hopeless arn't we!"

[Djaq]

"I think we should all quickly dart away from it at the same time. Then it can fall and we can go and get rope. OK?" Gary asked.

[Will Scarlett]

"Ok... so, shall I count to three, and on three, we run away from it, cos it may not be a very big tree, but if it landed on omeone, then I think that would be the end of them" he looked at the other two and then back at the tree. "Okay, on three... one... two... THREE!" and ran in the opposite direction looking back to see which way it was falling and whether it was going to land on someone.

[Djaq]

Djaq watched the tree fall with a crash on the ground. No-one has hurt, and she smiled at Gary on one side of the clearing, and then at Will on the other. "So..." she said, jumping over the tree and standing nearer to the two men. "Whos going to get the rope?"

[Will Scarlett]

"I will" said Gary, turing and running off into the heart of the forest.
Will turned to Djaq, "So... shall we start on making some decorations to put on the tree then?" he asked smiling at her whilst taking out his whitleing knife and picking up a decent sized piece of wood.

[Djaq]

Djaq smiled back at Will. "Sounds like a plan!" she walked away from him thinking. "Tell you what, maybe I could make some colourful liquid, that I can put on the decorations.." she spun around to face him grinning "...to make them colourful! What do you say? That way, you could carve the decorations, and I can paint them..."

[Will Scarlett]

Will's face broke out into a big smile "That sounds great! I'm so pleased I got paired up to work with you!" he said beaming at her, "But before we get started, I just ned to do this..." he walked over to her and gave her a massive hug. "I hate having to wait till we're alone before I can tell you how much I love you" he said whilst hugging her tightly.

[Djaq]

Djaq hugged him back, but released him very quickly. "I love you too...but we need to get working." she sad sadly. "I'm sorry..."

[Will Scarlett]

Will looked back sadly at her, "Hey, don't be sad. We'll have plenty of time to be together, but as you say, for now, we need to get to work!" he smiled at her and then went and sat down on a log nearby. He got his whiltling knife and the block of wood and started to whittle "So, what do you think about having a star on the top of the tree? That would be fairly easy to make..." he said continuing to scrape away at the piece of wood.

[Djaq]

"A Star?" Djaq said laughing, "As in, like one in the sky?" As Will nodded she laughed again. "Who thought up of that?" she grinned as got out a few powders from her belt. One was red, one was blue, one was yellow, one was orange, one was green, one was purple, one was white and one was black. "I think that should be enough..." she said happily. "I need to go get some water now...and some sap. To make it good to paint on." she said smiling. "I'll be right back..." she said, going up to Will and kissing him lightly. "Bye!" she jogged off into the forest.
