They stayed in their embrace for what seemed like hours. In their own little world. Together. It was cold in the forest but Gary didn't feel it. Alexis was all that mattered.

She stayed in his arms, against his body, everything else was forgotten, the only thing occupying her mind now was that moment.

Gary moved his body away from hers, but kept his arms around her back. "I know." He smiled. "I've learnt how to use a sword properly." He told her. He was trying to impress and please her really, make sure she didn't think he was still an unexperinced peasant.

She smiled, she wouldn't have minded if he couldn't use a weapon at all, she loved him anyway, nothing would change that.

She stepped back smiling, "I'm around." She tapped the hilt of her sword, and looked at him with a cheeky glint in her eye.

Gary smiled back. "Okay..." he imitated her tapping the hilt of her shealthed sword. "But, remember I have got better, just to warn you!" He said, cheekily.

He smiled back and drew his sword too. Not using his dagger as he normally did, not to make it 'fair' but just cause it seemed more about skill that way. "Alright," said Gary, "Ready?"

Gary brought his sword up just in time and their weapons clashed. He held the lock for a moment and looked into Alexis's eyes and smiled, then brought the sword around to a blow to her right but she blocked the swing.

She brought her sword back round and aimed it towards him. As their swords clashed again she smiled and said, "You are good."

"You're not too bad yourself," Gary grinned. He swung again and she deflected the blow and brought her sword around again. Gary dodged out of the way. Neither of them were fighting to their true extents, for the fear of hurting eachother.

Alexis blocked the blow then swung her sword and herself round, gracefully dodging the next.
