Being in the forest had never felt so lonely for Alexis. The rest of the gang had gone to the Holy Land to stop the Sheriff and she hadn't seen Gary for days.
"Hope they come back soon.." she said to herself with a sigh.
She eventually got bored of staring into the camp fire and stood up, deciding to go for a walk. Maybe it would take her mind of things, she always had found a walk relaxing, gave her time to work things out and such like. The two horses tethered to a nearby oak tree whickered to her as she came out of the camp, she crossed over to them and stroked them, wondering if she should go for a ride instead.
"Might as well." she said to herself turning to go back into the camp to fetch a saddle.
She saddled up the bright chestnut quickly and mounted him, taking the reins. She squeezed his stomach gently to get him to walk on and guided him onto the main path through the forest. With the Sheriff occupied in the Holy Land, there was no real danger of any of his soldiers crossing her path.

Usually, she enjoyed these solitary rides through the forest, feeling the breeze against her face as she cantered through the tall trees. Not today however, all of her friends were in the Holy Land helping the King, fighting the Sheriff. Tending to the camp and colelcting food for one was getting boring, and unnecessary. She'd done those two things so much, one would have thought she was collecting for an army.
She was still doing the duties of the Outlaws of course. Making sure the peasants were happy, making sure they had enough food and weren't being terrorized by the sheriff's men. Most of them were in the Holy Land with the Sheriff and Gisbourne so it was unlikely now. Only once did she have to defend a village store and that was from a group of bandits who were rather inexperienced in combat situations.
She pulled on the reins gently, slowing her horse to a walk. The road was empty, the air silent, she closed her eyes feeling the gentle breeze on her face and listening to the rustling of the leaves. Her sword was at her right hip of course, the lack of activity lately didn't mean she could risk going out without any means of defence. A quiet sigh escaped her as she halted her mount, he whickered gratefully and lowered his head to graze on the grass at his feet.
