Three years after the destruction of the ring a new evil has begun to creep into the world of Middle Earth. The source of this evil is not yet known, but it has taken Mordor as it's stronghold. Late at night drumming can be heard off in the distance to anyone who ventures close enough. It can be heard late in the night when you listen close enough from Gondor.
News of this has reached the ears of Aragorn, now King of Gondor, and his wife, Arwen. They sent word to Rivendell that there is to be council meeting to discuss this, but three of the council members did not make it to Rivendell alive. Scouts have been sent to Mordor to investigate but none have returned. Orcs and Uruk-Hai run rampid at night, any travelers caught in their path after nightfall are said to not wake the next morning.
